I did about 10 minutes playing, got everything I wanted itemwise.. not a thing. I fought some Smithlings and a Merv flagged as a Smithling and got bored. I guess if the collector had anything I wanted or anything new I might have carried on a bit longer but yeah the only thing about the anniversary that has my attention is the being smithied and turning other players/NPC's into Smithlings, just for the sheer novelty of it (ok so it's a novelty that I had last year, but it's the same novelty of using an 01 TM mask at Halloween)

Indeed. I'm going to miss out on most of it due to my trip, but I'll probably pop on towards the end to farm a couple shirts I want extras of.

This update screwed my MxO so badly. I tried logging in after the Update and it told me that I had some corrupted files. So I ran the system scan thingy that's available through the launcher. It did some stuff and I got some "unexpected result". Code -30, I think. Anyway, I closed the launcher and tried to run it again and my laptop crashed. When I restarted it, it said there was some problem with the shortcut on my desktop. So I tried running the program from the actual folder and it told me that I had to run MxO from the shortcut on the desktop. Somehow, my shortcut got deleted and didn't end up in the Recycle Bin. And now, I can't do anything at all. And I really don't feel like re-installing because the probablility of it happening again is high. And that's a long time to patch everything. >_>
Any ideas or suggestions?

If its an easy fix, you might just create a thread in our Support forums here. There might be someone who has experienced this problem in the past and has come up with an easy fix.
You could always reinstall the game but I'd do that only as a last resort. If it does come to that, make sure you save your screenshots or config files or anything you wnat to keep that might be in the Program Files folder.
Wonders if there at least will be a few of the big spawn Smith events with one who gets the kill on the level 100 Smith pr server to get the flame virus perpetual item.
Well, I guess it's probably cool for those who haven't done the event already... fighting the Smithlings is always fun, but this still gets a giant Meh from me. Should be interesting to see how this effects those who had stated they were sticking around to see the anniversary event and then possibly leaving if it wasn't up to par.

Nav, I had the same thing happen. I did a reinstall, and then everything worked just fine.
Umm, really, smith again? Didn't see that one comin, gg soe. lmao are you serious? The last update we will get to this game is smith and it's gonna last for how long? Hopefully keep smith around, this might add "some" enjoyment back to this game, I love smith he is always so positive, and btw, Oracle is dead, how can she make cookies if she is DEAD?! tf is wrong with you soe, really, stop killing this awsome game, get us a new dev and let us have at least some story back, I demand it!

I don't remember there being a Metacortex t-shirt and plain white t-shirt that you could get from this vendor.

How often do the luggables reset?
If in the case of one district in my server, some jerks deleted all the lugs except the Smith Virion, then took that and stashed it in a place accessable only by exploits!

The Party was better then I ever expected awesome work dev team! I would have had better screens shots but windows vista gave me mostly black SS, however I was able to get 1 at least. 
Yeah it was a pretty cool little party. Thx to TameDrag0n for playing my requests and thx to all those handing out cookies and gum. BTW letsrock, I had the same problem with the black SS's. I turned of anti-aliasing and it fixed the problem.

As far as i'v heard, luggables have been a bit iffy since the update. More than 1 of the same type spawning in the same district etc. Also, if you've been changed into smith, you can't change someone else? I tried it last night but wouldn't work so thought i'd just ask here.

You have to use the ability it grants you....kind of like the zombie bite. I had forgotton this too, and was wonering why nothing was happening!
Aye i had done that, moved the ab onto my hotbar but kept saying i didn't have it loaded.. I had been smithed though lol So eh i donno if i may have been doing it wrong or you need to be the person with the lug to pass it on. I had tried from out of interlock and also tried a couple of times in interlock but well i got ganked by then ha ha
I managed to Smith someone in Datamine yesterday when I didn't have the Virion but on leaving Datamine I found the ability had unloaded. I still had perma enrage and perma flag but no Smithy ab and no bonus from being smithied. Also using a RSI capture and taking it of removed the Smith RSI from me.
Somthing weird is going on on Vector....I think some people have been messing with the lugs. I think some people have been deleting the non-Smith lugs (using a method that I don't want to get into, but is easy to figure out). Then I think people are stashing the Virion in places they shouldn't be through exploits. It stinks to have to wait till Thursday to have access to them again. The Smith lugs are the best part of the AE, and they should be accessible.
Yeah someone had mentioned about more lugs than normal, or none at all. Just told them to CCR it.
Stashing in places they shouldn't? You really sure you can't get to it without a certain hat and shoes? i.e. jump bonus gear

Oh I can do the jump ones. We located one Downtown that was way underground, underneath a highway with nothing at all nearby that would go to that low a depth (like a subway, dungeon, or a nearby building with sub-levels). We couldn't figure it out, it was pretty bizarre.
I've detected luggables in downtown which were off the map, turned out they were in the white halls. Somthing similar?

Could be! Mech white halls? We were in Creston.
Try at that newish area at Union hill. Will prob be hidden in there somewhere.
I hope they extend the Anniversary Event another week. It seems rather short this year! For some reason, I had it in my mind that it would go until not this Thursday but the following Thursday. Besides, its not like we have new content to get to.
One week extention for the end of the Anniversary event, pretty please?
I have not been successful in completely smithifying the Matrix yet! An addition week should do the trick

Well looks like the update notes call for a server shutdown to remove the event. guess we don't get the extra week

Yep this was rather short - pbbly too short & Hallowe'en seems to drag on forever - to me.
