Some item, not one from the two previous years, plz. We do pay for them, I think SOE could take the time for some dev to make one, it's not like they don't have devs around anymore is it? xD

As for special item, is it nice if we can choose from rare items provided in the past? Was there any in 2007?
It is my personal opinion, since I am not so much care about item (I just want to see everyone).

Also, player run event is a nice idea if SOE gives us no official one. Shall we parade in Bally's with sunglasses and black clothes?

That's a bad idea. Here's why: I registered for FF last year just to get the rare item. If the same item is offered this year, I have no incentive at all to register just to gets it, because I already gots it. And I'm the kind of MxO player who will register solely to get the goodie even if I don't/can't come to the event. (I've already got plans for that weekend as it is.)

I agree with the previous posters who suggest another item, a rare item that's already in the game, like a weapon (that FM-1500 or whatever it is) or the Assassin Mask, or beta clothes or that awesome flamey-eye jacket that was some magazine's preorder goodie that's still in the game (one of my fellow Vixens has it) or something along those lines. Something that doesn't already have its own grind, to be sure. Ooh, or one of those "effects" goodies, like the flame virus or the blue headlight, made timerless. I think some people were "gifted" with timerless versions of those by the devs for good behavior during LETs. Something like that would make a great little registration goodie that wouldn't require the creation of anything new.

There will likely only be a few dozen people register from the MxO group so this couldn't possibly be too much for one person to handle.

Come on, Virrago. Please help us out here.  A month away and we're still IN the dark with only 4 registrants.  I myself is just waiting for information before registering for fanfaire altho I've reserved a room already at Bally's.  If nothing's going on for MxO in FanFaire, might as well just keep working that busy Transformers' weekend than waste time and money for nothing to do regarding us.

Last I checked Viraggo is not a Magician, I really cant see him pulling a rabbit out of a hat for MxO. Right now the game is in a Hiatus / Maintenance mode, we have no Devs to meet and thus no new items can be made. The other major games are getting events (everquest) due to there mass amount of player base, SOE is (and any other company with half a brain) spending money on there bigger titles for that very reason.

Fan Faire is about getting a chance to preview/play some of the new SOE tittles that are coming soon, Meeting the developers(of the game you play/may play in the future) and meeting the people that you have gotten to know online "in the real".

Since SOE has put us on /ignore there was never even a promised Prloducer's Letter to at least officially state the game is in Hiatus/Maintainance mode....as a simple courtesy.

No problem there are some neat existing items that can be given out as previously discussed.

Any company with half a brain wouldn't intentionaly alienate and antagonize whole subsets of their customer base by taking their money and putting them on permanent /ignore.  And were not the only subset that's being neglected or written off.  And for what, EQ?  EQ's glory days have long past, in a genre that's pretty much monopolized and dominated by WoW.  How is EQ supposed to attract new customers?  Is EQ the wave of the future?

Now that we know that this game will pull its plug by the end of July,  CARE for those PLAnning to Fan Faire to actually go there for ONe last HURRAH!!! And Stick it to the Man That "WE ARE STILL HERE"... in regards to being loyal to this game.

Today I got an approval from my boss to take a leave, came back my home, and heard the worst news of MxO's end.
I cannot find a word to describe this sad feeling.
I wonder how many people join the event attend Fan faire after hearing the news.
I hope to have a good ending and leave with a memory of nice people in both the real world and virtual one even if the death is inevitable.

If they'd made their minds up and told us about the closure earlier, I bet a fair few more players would have tried to attend. Probably too late now.

I recommend Walrus go incognito this year.  I'm sure there will be a mob of angry village-folk with torches and picks looking for him.

well im going flight and hotel booked and paid for.  all i need to do now is register for fan faire im in vegas from the 22nd till the 30th. would love to see as many of you as possible.
