Sadly this is true on more than just this occasion. I myself am guilty of it as well. Endo also said it well when we were so focused on Ookami we forgot about Pace for the most part ( even though mine and travi's teams were picking off zionites left and right attacking her ). All in all we lost perspective and that's what caused us to lose, well, that and the fact Zion went straight for Pace and not Ookami after Ghost got pwnt.

So.. snnrk... so you could say... that your overconfidence was your undoing?

*stifled laughter*

On another note, it sure is interesting to see the dust lifted a bit on the old chest thumpers of PvP in this thread. "You only won because blah blah blah." "You lost because we're so much better..." "No, you only won because I was there..."

Can't we all just agree that I am the sole decider of these matches with my god-like skills, despite not actually having been to any of them? (That's how good I am)

Was fun last night  30+ mach v 30+ zion v 12-15 mervs. Crazy

Congrats Endo and Hitmanben for the killshots. I only interlocked Ghost once and Pace once, both times i got taken down straight away ha ha Got a WDD on Pace though he he

The 3 of us ended up just mainly staying in the lobby and killed whoever attacked. Tomo + LC2 = dead he he Fabs (Sukanya) is quite deadly with they hax but she also rocks at MA, pwn.

Vector tonight, will be good

 It was very fun !

Our tactic was good . There is some magic instant when all things seems to be in our favor but without a good organisation we cant profite of this instant.

Gratz  to Endo and Hit !!

"Pace will come in at low health because she was at 25% health"

Not true, she was healed back to 100% full before you crashed.

Not sure when the crash really happend, but when the message of 25% health was posted, her health rose up to 33% then jump to 100% instatly. That was some pretty harsh lag, the whole event lasted an hour. congrats to zion for the win.

In hind sight the events could have done without the PBs and the accellerated machs though.

The client screen was frozen showing her at 25% health. Anything that happens to the character on the server after my client has crashed is just frosting.

EPN/Zion won on Vector. In the end I had to remove health regeneration from the event characters because my machine hosting Pace and Ookami was throwing fits today. Zion/EPN kept up steady heals on Ghost.

Wed Feb 11 14:54:40 2009 [System] {1}Ookami was just killed by DrBadTouch.

Wed Feb 11 14:58:09 2009 [System] {1}Agent Pace was just killed by WarOmnimonki.

This is how a procedure kills the creativity: people don't even see the possibility of going to an event without that stuff nowadays.

#36300542934 02/11/2009 15:44:07 Re:Mach-Merv-Zion PVP Battles, Government Building rooftop, Feb 9-11

Was a very fun fight with the exception of the three crashes. It started with a large Machine group keeping us from the roof. Then it was a fairly evenly-matched fight (numbers wise) between all three orgs once the characters were up. The Machines zerging us on the elevator came back to bite them, though, when the Mervs had to choose either Ghost or Pace to attack. Good fight, everyone.

Missed a bit of the CQ, but w/e.

What a way to go out!  I had a blast!  I felt like I was back in the days.  So many memorable moments.  This is by far THE BEST event I have been to in a while.  It was indeed an epic battle!

Can the killing of Pace, Ghost, and Ookami be considered a part of the story? It seemed like that from the email I got from Ghost.

#36300542952 02/11/2009 16:10:39 Re:Mach-Merv-Zion PVP Battles, Government Building rooftop, Feb 9-11

Nice pics Kevin

Tonight was a hellova blast.

Accel machines were spawned last night aswell. PB... naw that took it to far lmao Betting if it didn't get set off it wouldn't have been 3 crashes  The crashes did upset it a bit but hey, i was there for the pvp

Good fights with ML and SS after it aswell

I would agree, if the 'story' (I say story because there was no real reason for Pace, Ookami and Ghost to be on that rooftop and not really any consequences from it) could be resolved by the secondary main characters of the Orgs having a bit of a barney then it there was no need for the story, at least since the war.

I see it as a bit of PvP fun thrown as the last event by Rarebit. Lasting bragging rights for the Org (or perhaps just those who were there at the time) certainly, but a resolution to the whole story? Nah.

WOW. EPIC & HOLY ***t!!

My first ever Live Event, that was one hell of an experience.

Congratz to EPN / Zion for getting the win. A whole lot of quality action and a mass of peeps I haven't seen before, awesome stuff!

To many good points to mention, but thank you to all who attended for making it what it was... Also, a special thank you to Rare for putting this on. I only wish I'd been part of the game 'back in the day' when
events like this were a regular occurance.

I'm still not sure if I liked the presence of the accelerated machines, or the PB4 that was dropped buy meh - shinannigans are all part of the fun.

/Salute

Cya all out there.

If it's the same patch error that the rest of us are experiencing, most people can get past it by clicking ok. Mind you, there are apparently some who can't. There's always the station launcher, not brilliant but it works.
