The Suicide Club -- A Gathering of Hunters

Are you looking for a group of adventurous folk, looking to collect some of the rare codes that lie buried in the Matrix, guarded by aggressive Exiles? Are you daunted in trying to find a group to track them down and defeat them? Masonna, the huntress of the Familia, has a solution for you: The Suicide Club.

Regardless of your organization or affiliation, we look forward to having you join us, whether you're a Machinist protecting the stability of the System, a Merv putting the beat-down on Exiles trying to horn in on His Excellency's business or a Zionite looking for a good fight. All we ask is that you leave your political differences in the locked box at the door where we host our meetings and that you bring your weapons of choice and your sense of adventure.

Once a week, we will meet to discuss our next quarry. These meetings will take place every Friday night at 9 pm, EST/6 pm MCT, in the basement of the Fight Club in Manssen Park, right behind the Southeast hardline. Dates and times of our hunts will vary as they will be discussed during the meeting, but our huntress will keep you posted as to when the next hunt will be, and most likely, they will be daily occurances. Hunting parties will generally last for an hour or so, leaving you plenty of time to fulfill obligations to your organization or faction.

In a little less than three hours, we will be meeting in Westview... looking forward to seeing you there...

Our first meet was modestly attended, but we delved into the Creston Heights Museum and managed to net three stacks of Override Function Data, one for Masonna, one for TekMon and one for myself. Special thanks goes to Illyria for keeping the Ravenous from biting us, and to Hunter of the Trust, for patching us as we needed.

At the start of the meet, Masonna offered a fine speech welcoming our first companions:

HKS: Heya Lyr, long time no see
Sieges: Pretty good: rarin' for some good hunting...
Illyria1: Tell me more about this hunt.
Sieges: Hee... that's for our mistress of the hunt to disclose...
Sieges: Masonna? the floor is yours.
Masonna: Well if the mood is so intimate...
Sieges: I'll see if I can get a few more pings...
Masonna: As we all know, our times within this simulation can become... boring.
Masonna: We reach a limit in our resources, and what are we left to? Tinkering around the Matrix, without purpose, fighting a political war we were all summoned into.
Masonna: This place is not a debate, nor a place of discussing such things. This is a place for combat, for acquisition, and for glory.
Sieges: Hey there, ray...
Sieges: Amen to that, Masonna...
Masonna: I'm sure we've all heard about things... relics... that we wish to pick up. But there are times when we lack the resources. Though these treasures would benefit us greatly, we don't do this for the prizes. We do this for the fight alone.
Masonna: But that is my ambition, I can't speak for everyone.
Masonna: Some are more materialistic than others...
Sieges: Mm, we all have our own reasons for being here...
Masonna: Now, we're gathered here because we either want assistance in attaining something, or like me, we wish for a challenge.
Sieges: For me, it's keeping some of these... more agressive programs in check.
Masonna: Whatever motivates you, I am here to assist your efforts. I... we will fight as one.
Sieges: Here, here.
Sieges: Hear, hear* (rather >.< :: laughs:: ))
Masonna: We are all aware of the oncoming battle. It's supposed to be detrimental to the future of things here. And I'm sure that some of you, if not all of us, are interested in bolstering our abilities and power for the fight to come.
Masonna: If there's anything you wish to attain, then speak now, and we will hunt it down.
rayyun7: We should hunt for more members?
HKS: well maybe not tonight, but in futur hunt i,ll seak of gathering some shuriken
Masonna: If you can find more to the cause do so.
Sieges: Hm... Well, I've been wanting to get those Data fragments off the Override Functions in the Creston Heights Museum
Masonna: And if your time is short there will be more opportunities between now and the battle.
Sieges: Mmm, this is the sort of thing best spread by word of mouth, so if anyone knows anyone who might be interested in joining, feel free to put out a few calls...
Masonna: But for tonight, if anyone wishes to do so, we shall fight for what is desired.
Illyria1: I won't do anything that would hurt the system or the bluepills...but anything else, I would be glad to help.  I like a challenge.
HKS: sounds good
Masonna: Hurting the system is not in my interest. Most of what we seek will be exiled programs, Overrides, Commandos, Sleepwakers, Kunoichi... the big game.
Sieges: The ones that get too big for their britches and start trying to cause trouble....
Sieges: Whether it's frightening the Blues, or cutting into the Boss's business, or just being a pain in the codestream...
Sieges: So... what should our first quarry be?
Masonna: The Matrix is vast, so let us not tarry on any further.
Masonna: Any other suggestions for tonight's hunt?
HKS: well Sieges did one
Sieges: Any other votes?
HKS: nope i'm good with that there will be some other hunt for what i want
Sieges: Lyr? Ray? Any suggestions?
Masonna: One hunt is not the limit. We can do as many as we have time for.
Illyria1: I'm fine with Sieges'.
Sieges: And we can come together other nights, during the week to come...

Great turn out tonight! Special thanks goes out to all the good folks from the Collective, the Trust, and Exemplar Triune, for helping us take on the Override Functions in the Union Hill Hallways! I'll have the little bit of the log from the meeting up when I get a moment (Getting up early tomorrow to spend Valentine's Day with my best guy friend at a nice romantic...

This past Friday, despite being the 13th, proved to be a lucky one:

Masonna: I'll go ahead and begin. First off, congrats to the Zionites for their... victory earlier this week. Of course, I'm sure the Merovingian and Machine's operatives would care to dispute that.

Masonna: But there'll be another time for Zion to prove that the battle wasn't a fluke that many say it was. Tonight we are one faction... a faction of combat.

Fenshire: Only thing I really need are blue marbles, but Bindi and I will be doing some of that tomorrow maybe.  For the most part, I don't really need anything else so I'm just here for the fun of deleting powerful exiles.
Sieges: Nope, the Zion agents...
Dulux: though might be totally wrong

Masonna: Well it's best if we stay neutral for now... and if someone else wants to pursue agents afterwards, we can party up once the group events are over.

Dulux: Well if we gots lots of people we could split and half do marbles half do overrides

Fenshire: Yeah, the Sleepwalkers are easy.  That's why I'm not pressed about them.  Overrides are pretty fun.

Hoo... what a wild and crazy ninja-box party we had tonight! Thanks go out to everyone who showed up to help: Exemplar Triune, the Trust, the Collective, Lords of War, and the various folks who drifted in and out, including the org liaisons (or former liaisons): Kerevola, exivy, Alytheia, and Toluca. It was an honor to have you with us, and despite a few rough patches involving looting and who got what, this was an intense amount of fun and here's to another hunt just as lively next week.

Just a heads-up on tomorrow's craziness, and even this soon, I could use a good knock-down, drag-out fight with something...

Sorry I couldn't make last week's hunt -- I will be available for this week's though.

My professional schedule has become wrought with all sorts of tasks and killings, so this week, the Suicide Club will be held on Thursday. This will be the one that I host, and should I find a sub, there will be a second one Friday to carry on in my absence.

I'm glad this got changed to Thursday...I'm there, perhaps one other will be joining me.
