OK come on now.  This is really getting aggravating.   This hasn't been fixed since Thursday.  Can we get this sorted please?  Paying subscribers should at least be able to access the game without workarounds.

Yeap!

Ps: I thought we had to farm something to get rid of that error...

I've already stated in another thread its a "recovery.zcf" file it looks for on a http site, which returns a 404. Its just annoying, nothing really harmful.

Easy fix:

Take an assorted team of Zionites, Merovingians and Cypherites into Creston Museum.  Farm 10 Function Data and 10 Lupine Fingers.  Enter Sati's Playground and gather 5 Kunoichi Pink toyboxes.  Proceed to Roger's Way and activate them at the base of the monument.  Kill all of the Sati's and drop a Code Pulse Device and a door to the White Hallways will appear at the top of the Ascension Monument.

Enter the Ultra Mega Oligarch stronghold and defeat the 4 Level 70 Executables without spawning a single NPC.  Turn in all of your loot to Othinn who can sell them to a vendor.

In exchange you will receive the missing file download and your patch error will disappear.

Cake.

You have to have the special "pays $100 a month" client to enable this functionality!

I'm getting that, too, but I just press OK and start from the regular laucher. For me, it's a speedbump.

Same here. But a) it's annoying, b) we're not supposed to get this. Even in a freeware game such a bug would be fixed quickier than here.

I had that error ever since I installed the game -which is 3 days ago-. I nearly got the idea that I had to redownload the entire game again, but it thank god just worked. It starts just fine with the silly error.

Yeah, I hit the OK button and it goes through like nothing happened. It's more of an irritant than a real problem, but I'd be glad to see it fixed soon.

Did I mention that letting this patch error go with no feedback from SOE or our otherwise-beloved MxO team is quite disappointing; from a paying customer expecting a certain baseline level of service standpoint?

100% agreed.

Not as bad as when EvE Online released their new graphics engine and a glitch in the patch somehow ate the boot.ini files on several people's computers, making it impossible to restart the machine...

Stop making excuses for poor customer service.  I don't care about EvE Online.
