Patch system error (result code -15) A required file is missing

I keep receiving this messege when the launcher appears on my screen. Any idea what this is and how can I fix it?

P.S. I did search for an existing threads on this, but the one I saw didn't seem too helpful. Thank you in advance.

It seems others are not having this problem being able to post the 12.1 cinematic and knowing about stuff that is in game.

Err, did anyone find a fix to this, I've got the same problem, and it's starting to annoy me, tried doing a full system check, does nothing, something wrong with the patch or only a few people getting this problem?

It's obviously connected serverside, since everyone is having this issue, sounds more like the patch servers are looking for the wrong file?

The cinematic is being viewed by most at that URL.

Hopefully the GMs will fix this problem soon, I am rather egar to see where the story is going... And maybe there is some new pwnage uber clothes?! lmao yea right.

Vesuveus should tell us how he got in.

I think some people are sneaking into game via the Station Launcher which currently is showing MxO as updating but I don't know if playability from it is possible yet. Should be if some other folks got in.

what i did was open station launcher update game through it and play it

though it if i use a normal mxo icon on desktop i get error even after ive loged in and put through launcher

Ok, so they know about it... cool.  I don't mind using the Station Launcher, as long as I can get into the game.

By the way, I did a game update through the launcher and then tried jacking in normally and got the error code again.  Just use the launcher for now if you have this problem.

/e smells possible sneaky method of getting players to use SL?  i jest

but personally speaking SL seams to take longer to patch than MXO launcher :s

It really is quite charming to see that, after all the time that has passed during my involvement with MxO, this place is still an utter and complete gong show.

I'm just posting so everyone can get a good count of how many people are having this problem. Count me as +1.

Launcher seems to be working OK right now.

The error has crept back into the wild.  I went to patch my client after the winter holiday and have recieved this error once more.  If I use the Station Launcher it doesnt come up, just like last time this happened.  This is happening both on my laptop at work and my desktop at home.

Me too.    Starting to see this missing file is taking large effect on the game now. Missions are really bugd. Combat. Npcs. etc, etc.

Aha good find Tsusai, just hope a hotfix is in our near future.

This issue has gotten so bad TWO, count them, TWO threads now exist because of it, and NO RESPONSE FROM ANYONE WITHIN SOE as to when and if this will be resolved....
