I am probably beating a dead horse but...

I found a vendor, Dr. Martin, and he trades for some unusual stuff. One being the beta hyper jump. So now regular players can now get this item which was suppose to be for just beta players? The reason I complain is that those of us that had it, had an edge (a small one) in which we can use that ability instead of wasting memory on the normal Hyperjump and putting that extra memory into another abililty.

So whats to stop them from put up another vendor and trading something in for the Beta clothes? (Making them tradable is a seprate issue) I am just scratching my head on this one. And I also see he gives us the Mobius code, how nice.

I don't remember the discussion,  but I'm sure someone will link it to you soon. But I'm fine with it, as long as the Flaming Eye Trench doesn't get put on a vendor I'll be happy.

Normally, I would agree with you. BUT, all players who started with a trial account get Mobius Code and Hyper-Jump Beta. So, it is pointless to keep the previous restrictions and now it is fair for everyone.

As much as I understand where you're coming from, that content is pretty old now and was thouroughly chewed over at the time. I don't see much discussion, let alone any changes, coming from this thread anytime soon.

back in 2005, I guess they went with the Vendor idea instead of the decompile and let the players give it out how they see fit idea. Seems to me it was all for marketing purposes, with the trial accounts. Dont get me wrong, marketing is what this game needed, but I feel they went the wrong way with the trial accounts.

Guess nothing can be done except make a post and let the people speak their minds. As soon as I saw that on the vendor, I just felt it was a slap in the face to all Beta players, But as I said, at least they havent put the beta clothes up there yet.

   You know, you could preorder the game and get Hyperjump Beta without actually being in beta.  A friend of mine preordered just for Hyperjump Beta.  I guess he shouldn't have gotten it, since he wasn't actually in beta, huh?

I remember talking to Customer Service about HJ Beta when I joined back up.  Long story, didn't have old account, yada yada yada.  If memory serves Brewko said (after a little debate) that he would put it to the team and see if something could be done in a few weeks.

Then, what do you know, out came Dr Martin.

I'm not saying I was responsible.  But, if you want someone to blame....I can take the hit.

Thanks Othinn1, I had made a mistake when saying BHJ was for beta players. I am sorry I am unable to remember something that happend 4 years ago like pre-orders who get the ability. With that said I just got owned.
