Ooooohhhhhhhh verrry eeeenteresting. I'll be very curious to see how the jacket interacts with other tops and blouses.
Great work Rarebit & team!!!!! Can't wait to get my fingers into some of these new missions!
/as
Neat... they might even match my olive suit! Are those org-specific, or can anybody get them?
Nice pants
<3 the jacket
I see normal belt buckle not shiny one? o_O
Oh those look nice. Looking forward to seeing the Hel Stompers and the other org clothing soon too!
Yes I am wondering how that jacket will look with the long neck shirts too, like the braela shirts or under armor shirts
Sounds like fun!

Me too. O_o... Anyway, i look forward to see the new org rewards. I wonder what the Machines reward will be.

We'll be sure to mention if something we're showing off is org-specific, so if we don't mention it, it isn't.

You can see it a bit there, actually--part of the buckle is lighter than the pants, and that's due to the highlight. Shiny highlights are always easier to see in motion when you can move the camera around, though.
Oh, very nice. I like the jacket
Nice screeny! Very cute.

Yea true that.
Like the pants, I wonder what the males coat will be like.
Hawt pants!
Cool jacket for female RSI's, I like the look of the pants too.
While I like the doors this opens for the future, this particular IR gets a big Meh from me. I may look into the pants depending on the requirements to get them, but I hope the stuff we haven't seen yet is more exciting than what we have.
I was almost prepared to complain that these clothes look like they were recycled off of Anome, but then I realized that this probably isn't even doable anyway, and that I would LOVE to have Anome's jacket! :3 ... Plus the pants are actually different. Meh, the whole color scheme had me thinking for a moment.

Just don't rip them, Yasa. >_>
Is there a level 50 item or just what we see in the screen shot?
I like the orange.

I'm think that these are the Hel Stompers

sweet i was making a suit like that and now I can have a better version of the pants!
This looks sweet! I also love the new images with the reward details embedded in them. Nice to "save picture as..."!

Those pants win
I would really wish that any new Org clothing is restricted to those who actually have positive rep in that org... but I can't see it happening.

Getting the necessary token is restricted to orgs. The token itself can be traded, so you have to find someone to sell/trade it. It's fine that way.
Some of the new gear is actually worth getting!
I see it's level 30-40. Will they not be made for level 50's?
I think it would be better to see org specific gear only as in non-tradeable tokens. Would be a bit meh to see someone not Merv scoot around in those Hel boots and isn't that really counter acting the whole "with your org" feel that has always been a part of the storyline? I do like some sort of level cap though.

If a Merv wants to give away their boots, why not? I could steal them if you want, though! *packs out "Stealing For Dummies"* Er... just a moment!
Nice stuff, I don't think I'll bother getting them, though. Unless I really *need* to.

Right, that makes sense after Zion/Merv getting System Suits, Zion/Mech getting Merv coats, etc.

Said the man with more alts than half the server got mains. If you used all of your alts you could do all mission tokens and be done with them within 5 minutes ... alone D:

I have to agree with this. While I've always been in favour of there being more separation between the actual orgs it just seems odd to start doing this at this point... especially after having been told that choice between orgs is something that should just be a ideological choice and shouldn't go any further than that.

Wasn't that in response to the Org abs? While I can see the position about abilities which are different for each org and thus could influence choice of load, or your chosen load/starting stats could influence which Org is best due to the abilities available. Clothing wouldn't do that to the same degree, especially if the buffs are the same on each orgs item.
Personally I'd prefer that all future and existing org clothing had a positive rep requirement but as it's been stated, it's pointless and won't happen.

Which is why these items can be traded. You have to go about acquiring the other orgs' items in different ways, but you can still get them; so if the Mervs for instance get an item you really feel would benefit your loadout, you can still get it, and thus won't ultimately be negatively affected in terms of game balance by your choice of org; and in fact I think leaving the aquisition of 2/3rds of the items in the hands of player interaction and choice ultimately feeds in to supporting the ideology rather than taking away from it. It seems highly unlikely to me that, with the items able to be traded, we'll run into a situation where anyone will feel forced to switch orgs or their favorite loadout just to get one of them--because it will always be much more convenient simply to acquire the $info required to convince someone else to trade you the item you want--and if dealing directly with someone from another org is against your ideology, you can always wait and pick them up from someone in your own org who's acquired them somewhere along the way.
If your ideology is so pure that you simply won't touch an item that you know came from another org somewhere down the line, then yes, at that point I am forcing you to get your hands dirty, but *that* kind of choice I view as part of life in the Matrix.
I suspect we'll see a flood of overpriced tokens on the MP. But then that's nothing really new anyway.

? Who said the tokens can be traded? Only the actual clothing items can be traded.
EDIT: By "token" there I mean what you get from completing one of the org missions. Some of the trades will require other items in addition, most of which can be traded--but the requirements for at least one item per org will include one of the no-trade mission tokens.

I guess I misread somewhere then... Oh, no I didn't I just based my assumption on someone elses assumption near the beginning of the thread when he said tokens can be traded.
Note to self, GG is not a Dev

So the tickets (to start the mission) will have a level req and a rep requirement and completing that mission will yeild a non-tradable token. I see what you mean. When I said token, I meant ticket (always get the terms mixed up) but then with the reqs it's pretty pointless for someone of another org to buy them unless they grind out the appropriate rep first.
So I retract my suspicion... I guess...
Tickets can't be traded either.
Does everyone in team receive the 'token' after you beat a mission or whatever?
Rarebit wrote:

Only the items (clothing, weapons, etc), right?
ChloeAnn wrote:

No, it goes to the team leader, like archive missions, the Valkyrja missions, etc. But also like those missions, as opposed to crits, these quest missions can always be re-run, so the other team members won't be left with no way to get the token for themselves later.
EDIT: I suppose it's worth mentioning again here (I showed it in the Dev screenshots thread a week or so ago) that the collectors themselves require that you belong to the right org to access them. So there are ways a person could get another org's token (crew invite, grinding rep, switching team leaders probably), but it won't do them any good because they won't be able to access the collector who takes it until they actually switch to the correct org. Hm so that probably means you could do it if you had crews in both orgs inviting you back and forth, but it probably would have been much easier to have had one of them simply trade you the item in the first place, rather than crew-switching you back and forth and ruining all your rep points, especially considering that someone with high operative level and decent rep in the right org is needed to kick off the missions in the first place.
Rarebit wrote:

As far as I know, that doesn't change who gets the token/end item, at least with archives/PB missions.
Oh. So if the leader logs out, it shows up later in email, or does nobody get it?
When we ran archive missions, if the person who started the mission logged off/left the team, the mission aborted.
Rarebit wrote:

That should cancel the mission out
