Note to self, taking on 55 duelists as a level 50 duelist is a bad idea without suitable pills. >_>

Perhaps some gentlemen will buy these items for a lucky lady, so it's not just female RSI accounts that get hit! SMILEY

What about the thrid pair of glasses?
#36300500776 09/19/2008 06:39:51 Re:Valkyrjar Items
There is some level 40 versions, I didn't SS those.

This is rather good solo content, but killing the 55 is easier/faster with a 2nd person setup right.
#36300500777 09/19/2008 06:41:21 Re:Valkyrjar Items
If a female on vector wants to give me the 200m i'll trade my Brisingamen in and get them the dress :p

I'm liking this so far though, very much like the Smithling missions but a little longer and obviously the story behind it.

Nice use of the word "plumage", Rare. It's not used often enough in casual conversation in my opinion.
"That's lovely plumage you're sporting on your leopard skin pimp hat today, GamiSB", for example.

Nothing more enjoyable than getting Val down to 100 health and an agent showing up.  Twice.

GG  From what Im hearing this patch sounds really nice.

Mhm Im enjoying this as well! very fun to do
#36300500783 09/19/2008 06:56:15 Re:Valkyrjar Items
I love the items, I'm kind of disappointed at the story though. I wished it was a little bit longer (not disappointed at the story itself). Maybe Rare can extend/alter the mission for the next update?
#36300500784 09/19/2008 06:58:25 Re:Valkyrjar Items
Make that three times.
#36300500785 09/19/2008 07:00:37 Re:Valkyrjar Items
I haven't been in game yet, but is it soloable?

#36300500799 09/19/2008 07:22 Re:Valkyrjar Items
So, I'm confused.  Is it Valkyrjar or Valkyrja?  I've seen it spelled both ways, and both by Rarebit himself.  SMILEY

Also, what are the requirements for the nerdy Rose-tinted glasses?  I'm so getting me a pair of those!

Missions have stopped working for these too :/

Though managed to get the All resistance shades first. (Thanks Deda)

From what I hear it's balanced pretty well, good job on that. Liking the look of the items (the gun was a pleasent surprise) and I look forward to working on stuff once things are fixed. ^_^

It's just not my style. That's all. I don't like to fight like that. When you talked about perservering I didn't think you ment a bunch of health pills. I thought you were surviving another way. Basically I was just saying, oh I didn't think you ment that way.

We're not talking about PvP'ing, where honour supercedes pill-popping.  I'm the same way.  In this case, however, we're talking about an NPC so it really doesn't matter.  To clarify, I'm only using pills when I have to, otherwise my 'survival' is mostly predicated on the aforementioned perseverance and patience.  Take advantage of the states when you get them, and not wasting IS in the meantime, etc.

Sigh, I tried to explain this in my last post. I said nothing about honour. We just have different play styles. Please let it go. I'm not discussing this any further.

Well, it works like this. Fight, die, come back it's at full health. You wearing the health regen stuff or something? I've got roughly normal clothes and wooden dummy drill only did 108 damage to it.

Wearing: Area K/Squad Leader's Shirt/Coward's Pants/SSR Helmet/Seraphim's/Widows Moor Lenses.
Using: Many HP 5.0's.

You just have to be patient, not waste your IS spamming specials, and generally wear the thing down gradually.
Off balance, tomo + prowess. Didn't solo but if you get the lowered melee res you hit for about 780. Maybe try and use skyhigh? A hacker with you makes it alot easier. Their melee res is high as anythin.

Best possible combination would be Destroyer + Insidious Code from some hacker and you with UM/Ma Prowess, Skyhigh + Tomo with downgrade. An NPC, even with capped melee res should be down to -200 or lower after that, making a tomo to a possible 1500+ damage.

Just a note: to get all the story from Svanhild (that is there--yes it is somewhat fragmentary) you have to trade for pretty much all the items, both male and female.

I just turned in the parts for the female Velfreyja's shield glasses (which are omg soo gorgeous) and I got the story from the collector for that part... wow!!! It's really great to learn more about this character! I won't spoil it by saying who SMILEY

Slight problem with the Valshamr and body type one:

That's not a problem with the shirt, that's a problem with the skirt.  The skirt comes in 1 size: medium.  So body type 1's have a big butt, and body type 3's have a small butt.  However, the shirt scales in size, making them not line up correctly.  The same can be seen with the regular black agent outfit, it's just not as noticeable since it's black.

Edit:  Grrrr.  With these mucked up forums I didn't see Rarebit's post 'till just now.  CURSE YOU, FORUMS, AND YOUR SNEAKERY!
