I like it! Although I kinda liked the changing collar colour bug, I managed to get some decent colours on the collar!

Yay for new moods and emotes and several good fixes, Can't wait!

I am upset! These patch note updates MAKE ME SAD!


Changes and Improvements

  • /em messages now appear inside asterisks to prevent players from faking System chat messages. While players can still paste in a line break and a second message (using the CTRL+Insert "paste" command) that would appear without a preceding asterisk, the initial line beginning with an asterisk should be a tip-off that the following message(s) could be fake.


WHAT THE HELL MAN?! This is a monstrosity. No longer can I trick people with:
/emote coughs.
Morpheus is in The Matrix

Everything else is cool though, except for that.

We've come a long way.  I'm having trouble remembering what is still broken other than world geometry glitches.  Good stuff.

This update is truly awful. The amount of bugs accounted for and errors fixed with it is simply unacceptable.

How can we be expected to truly experience, first hand, the Matrix, in a world that is not riddled with bugs and glitches and anomalies? =I

ya I agree with Vinia I liked the collar bug :p added orginiality to certain dresses of course considering your lucky enough to have a good buff on a shirt with a nice collar color.

I believe that is the Valkyries and the new glasses/suits/golden dress/shoes. It almost sounds like they're being introduced as a new area NPC gang, but it's more likely to be user initiated content. Hopefully (imo) like a PB arc or something.

Bets on how long it takes for a new (Possibly Machinist, but not necessarily) faction with White uniform dress code to be made. Also, Zion has the Vixens, Merv has Sirens, Perhaps the Machinists will see an all female (RSI) Faction... ?

  • Throw resistance bonus will now work properly

Next step: Adding Thrown Defense Bonuses over all trees to balance out the lack of Thrown Defense (Only tree where Defense is lower than the Accuracy for people with the right attributes when combining with Hypers).

Update Feedback
Mission system broke
New content broke due to problem with mission system
New emotes - "They Rock"
Sleepwalker shoes need higher % buff to make effective at the moment add 0.17 seconds to duration length needs buffs multiplyed by at least 6 to be effective other wise may have just been all resist
Gold clothes wheres the male love gold coat or gold suit would have been good its not just females with the cash.
Other than that a decent update of bug fixes.

55 is a decent enough challenge solo-able I guess. MKT suxxors for soloing it. Howitzer/Destroyer does what it suggests, it completley destroyes the 55.

Mission system works for me on Recursion, but I'm seeing alot of "Server could not find name for faction with ID" or something...nor can I see faction chat

Nevermind. It worked on my -clone version of the launcher, but not my main one.
My main launcher is getting the Patch server error (code -47). But for now, I can get in with my 2nd launcher.

Clothing's buffs and looks aren't too shabby. The Shield shades are a Stacker's wet dream, though.

I am curious why it is under status of combat bonus I see the ballistic resist bonus for focus and the melee resist bonus for belief but still do not see the thrown resist bonus for perception? I mean the regular thrown resist for clothing are there but the thrown bonus does not show like the others. Just curious why.

I think that the Svanhild quest is one of the most interesting quest of the game (the Pandora’s is definitely the best one). So I'd like to know more about this Valkyrjas. Okay, they are the result of an experimental and escaped from the machines servers before being deleted... So? For example, why this summons? Is it only to kill the pedestrians? I don't think, cause they can kill them in the streets... Is it to "recruit/transform" them as Valkyrja? Maybe I missed some information…

I love this new content, Rarebit definitely is finding the right balance of grind/fun/reward.

The only issue I have is the lvl 100 agents. Now hear me about before you roll your eyes. With nearly all other content the agents can be sidestepped (more or less). But this content, in order to complete it, forces you to constantly expose yourself to the lvl 100 agents. Is it possible to disable the agent spawns while the ambush is around? I don't think that's too unreasonable.

Oh I agree Pylat, I was watching Zionites trying to hack the valkajrauuaingiuanon whatever in the streets, then a level 100 agent just pops up and splatters them. While I find that very very entertaining on my end, that's horribly obnoxious. I agree, but I think the level 100 agent spawn should be removed completley. Spawns like that should only happen for short periods of time (Like the Unlimit and Sleepwalker spawns).

My excitement about the Svanhild quest, the item she gives to start the misson has two runes on it. The Mannaz rune, rune of the self; and Raido, Rune of a journey, communication, union and reunion.

The Journey of raido is the journey within, so it relates back to the self.

Advice from the Mannaz rune: remain modest, be in the world but not of it (thought that was especially fitting given the nature of the Matrix); remember at all times what is coming to be and passing away, and focus on that which abides. Nothing less than growth is called for from you now. Be content to do your task for the task's sake (given the cost of the dress and shoes with no buffs, I found that amusing). Do not forget how to play and lose yourself in doing the work for it's own sake. That is the secret of experiencing a true present.

 Advice from the Raido rune: It is concerned with the attunement of something that has two sides, two elements and with the ultimate reunion that comes at the end of the journey when what is above and what is below are united and of one mind. (hmmm given this LV push to wipe out all redpills makes me wonder if this is a hidden message). Ask what constitues right action instead of relying entirely upon our own power. Be content to wait and while waiting keep removing resistence. (This is about the soul's journey and resistence to our personal spiritual path I think, I'm not trying to interpret that for MXO). Regulate all excesses in your life. Material advantages must NOT weigh heavily on this journey of the self toward the SELF. (This again amuses me given the cost of the new items). Keep cutting away illusions. Stand apart even from like minded others.

I speculate on how these might tie into what is going on with the story. Wright, the biological interface, LV's effort to wipe out all redpills. Could these runes be some hidden message to us?

Rare you are doing a awesome job with the content your adding. However just one question....

Can you possibly make a new npc/boss that cant shoot thru walls?????

It gets so... well language filter wont let me say how annoying.

They don't shoot through wall. In fact, they can't. The problem is that NPCs are "uninterruptable", once they start an ability or attack, unless a player or allied NPC interrupts the attack / ability by using attacks (downgrades won't work, NPCs use abs through e.g. pacify once they activated it) nothing can stop them from activating the ability, not even if they move or you are out of range or behind a wall.

In other words, they start abilities/attacks when you are "legal" and can hit you when you are not.


Also from what I heard from Rarebit, toying with the AI is rather difficult, but I'd love to see a big AI upgrade. Would make everything more difficult and more enjoyable, especially the Proxy trees.


Edit: To clear up misunderstandings: "To shoot through a wall" is an intermediate act. Neither you nor NPCs can do that, however they "can hit you whereever you are, provided they started when you were available", which is a difference.

still be nice if it was fixed.. nothing like being 3 rooms away to rest and bam disarming shot. after you sat there waiting to leave comabt then sitting down.

Datamine has same issue. You fight 2 ssr guards and somehow another is shooting you that you cant see.

(not trying to knock rarebits efforts or work he has done. Man is awesome, too bad he didnt have soe backing him more, imagine what he could do. *goes into dreamland*)

you  try deleting your main launcher than using the one in your mxo directory file? see if that helps,
