Been in to SlipKnot since i heard them in '99 and just wow, the new album is really good. Some chilled songs, some heavy and brutal songs. Coreys vocals are just immense

Slipknot really had to win me over, I had always been skeptic of their music. Iowa cleared that up, so the new albums is more then welcome.

I miss the raw ferociousness of 'Iowa', but I like that they're expanding and being more creative in their latest efforts.
Corey's vocals are best displayed on Gematria, where he can truly let the throat gates open and roar as only he can roar. Not as heavy as something like Skin Ticket (less than three), but more delicately fierce, if that makes any non-oxymoronic sense.
Overall, I'd place it below 'Iowa'. In terms of an 'experiment' with an ever-evolving sound, however, it's certainly a winner.

1st and 2nd album were great, Vol.3 sucked hard balls and was like a completly different band.... OH YEA I remember who it sounded like... it was Stone Sour!
