I had an idea about 15 seconds ago...

An LE spread over a week involving lugables.

Random code(lugables) apears all over the mega city (or maybe just downtown)

When collected this code flags the player. but gives NO BUFFS! but would have to disable master shadow the point of this is at random times during this week collection officers for each of the organizations can appear to collect the item in exchange for a special item (should be a singleton)

The nature of this event would mean constant inter org battles for these pieces of code.

The org that collects and delivers the most of these code items would be the winner of the event.

Given the random nature of the collection officers arrival they would have to try and keep control of the luggables for as long as possible! waiting for the collections officer to arrive

Then you could do an org specifig announcement in system telling people where to find their collecton officer.

For players this would be a whole week event.

For the Devs it will be the lengthy preparation proccess followed by half an hour jacked in maybe 10-15 times that week

Unlike normal LE's that require the Devs attention for several hours at a time this would be somthing quick.

Possibly even run full LE's along with it.. eg Ghost has been sent to retrieve a large group of these code pieces along with a team of redpills while the twins also tries to get them with a team.

No need for a PVP zone as when somone collects a fragment they will be flagged and attacked although making them auto-reconstruct or un rezable might be a good idea otherwise they might hold on to them untill backup arrives

Too much work?

1.) Rename, Reskin Lugable.

2.) Remove Buffs from luggable

3.) Spawn luggables around DT

4.) Tell the players

5.) Log in occasionaly and give an org wide warning. (you could even give the collecting job to liasons maybe?)

6.) write down the names of people that turn in luggs

I reckon maybe a days work

Actually it's a good idea but it'd have to relate to the story and instead, or as well as, giving out items (singleton consumables?) the story outcome would be affected depending on which org got the most.

Problems for this include;

Story already being written (obviously this is a problem with my spin on the idea, not the OP's idea),

Collectors would have to pop in a times which would be fair on all timezones (It'd be annoying to hold on to a piece of code all evening and having the collector pop in half an hour after after having to jack out, this means giving up the item of trying to pass it on to another member of your Org)

The luggables would have to have some sort of FX on them that would indicate that the person has the item, this is especially needed on Vector where everyone is flagged anyway.

Aside from that, given good planning I don't see it not being able to happen. Most of the taime taken would be in the story run up and the creation of skins for the Luggables.
