Eh mission can get bugged. Same thing occuring like in the last critical mission where ya give someone something. They getknocked out. They become lootable. Then ya can't finish the objevtive.

Atually tried putting it back to where it was suppose to go. However didnt seem to work. (( yes i was that inclinde to be a bit greedy but for the sake of my curiosity. )).

Basically when ya give the guy the obj and is knocked out then. Of course i get interfearene but then im said to leave. I killed the interfearence however and was said to leave the area. Then thats where i decided and thought maybe the obj is done and i can take it as a souveiner. Thoguht seriously wrong. Got the objective i finished before hand again with a leave the area obj as well. Tried to leave area but couldnt cause i took what the guy had.

Heres some screens really of what i mean.

Darn, I always forget some detail of how I have to set those up to avoid that looting & goal-reappearing problem (note to self: make visible goal a Fakeout goal, make corresponding hidden Optional goal, add new Required goal at end, if necessary). I'll have that fixed for the archived version, at least, although now you'll be required to kill the guards who appear.

8.2.2 suffers from a similar problem, even in archive form.

But this was mostly a bland mission. Interesting how the data was being stored, but otherwise bland.

Oh, and nothing is in that room you can't access, by the way. My mission held it in the Richland area with the kitchen and the big opening in the wall for the bar type thing that you can jump through, which I did. It was absolutely vacant.

Dunno, helped spawn a whole load of wild speculation for me.

Hehe... Not like I leave a trace of hostility behind. Which I don't. More loot be it items and info is grand by me ^_^. Seeing how the game runs on it. And also Neoteny is right on that 8.2.2 Archive is doing it as well. Ill go get pics when i can tho. Some proof is better then none in all honesty.

Ah, I see it, no pics necessary.

An interesting mission in terms of finding out a new data storage method in what the operator calls wetware (didn't know that was a real term at first) but not a lot happened. The trace pill phase was different in planting something on a dead body which I don't think has been done since the first chapters. I first killed, then looted, then the put option appeared and I could complete the phase.

Yeah, after reading Zippy's summary, I don't see how you could call this bland. I think it's dumb Zion somehow doesn't know the Oligarchs are behind Ouroboros (what Zion ops don't?), but the rest of the information shows the Oligarchs even have access to the pods and are fully aware of everything having to do with the Matrix.

I thought this was a really cool mission. The little twist of the bluepill's brain holding the data was definitely unexpected and cool, both necessary qualities of a good twist.

I'd have to agree, it can annoying when the story's having to catch up to what players already know. Then again, it must be difficult balancing OOC/IC knowledge, not only between all three orgs but over the period crits are written for as well. You've also gotta be careful of continuacy errors (one jumps to mind where a Zion mission comments on the Machines dumping the cheat codes in the aquaduct but Zion never really found that out, canonically. I think it was retroactively explained that they heard it from external sources but it was still a bit of a cop-out.)

This chapter has renewed my interest in the storyline. This Zion crit kind of blew me away when I read it (thanks, Zippy).

Clearly, Tyndall doesn't read my "reports"!

To be honest this was an enjoyable, if a little werid, mission.
And the way you finish the mission is:
  • Kill the bluepill
  • Open his loot, and open your Inventory
  • Drag the redpill from your Inventory, into his loot window
  • Close the loot window and exit the area.
  • Done.
