Sharpshooter?

Until we know what the penelty is, I'll still say it does nothing.That...doesn't...make...sense. Anyways, it does just what 9mm said, removes the penalty for free-firing on an interlocked opponent, I'm going to assume the penalty is something to do with CT. Basically it works like it's supposed to but it's such a pointless ability in the first place that there's no reason to waste the memory space.
Hmm, I wonder if it has anything to do with this:
Some weapons have two DPS attributes, something like 9 - 12. The first number is for IL DPS and the second is for ranged DPS. Now, if you don't use the sharpshooter ability, does the penalty negate the extra 3pts for ranged DPS (only when shooting into IL, of course)? Or is it a % penalty modifier?
If you're firing at someone who is in interlock with another person, you take a penalty for firing at them... so basically...i guess you're likely to miss more if you're aiming at someone who is in IL.
Loading sharpshooter counters this penalty.

Regardless, it brings back the argument that multi-fighting should be re-made as a logical compliment to this ability in some way.

Well, for this "in interlock, out of interlock" system of damage modification, you can see where it would be easy to confuse.
Incidentally, Aquatium is the only person on the forums who has ever said anything about the two numbers on a weapon's DPS being a range. Since he was never corrected by a dev, we are all assuming that he is correct.
And, yeah, I'd like to know a little more about this than "tern on 4 powa, nub!"
