Sorry for asking this, but a billion years ago when I played the game last there were little interlock boxes that showed up on the screen showing what attack you did versus theirs, your bonuses and the total combat rolls. Was that removed in a patch or is it something i might have deselected?

That was the original combat system, we now have a new combat system known as CR2.

Yeah, they changed combat a little for CR2. The boxes that bash into each other have been gone since then I believe.
