I guess we will be looking into Mausers ability to use these 'inactive' Hardlines or less likely, allow us to use them SMILEY

I wouldn't be surprised if it were Mauser with the override powers. After all, that seems to be the standard among the jacked-in freeborn.

The mention of Soren is... Interesting, I suppose. Was Mauser just there looking up documents relating to people he had known who had jacked in previously? Or is there some further conspiracy involving Soren (past, or somehow, present?)

I'm so sick of this.

Why this obsession with centering missions in Richland/Westview?  Not all of us have a 50 in all 3 orgs.  My Zion 23 is always sent to Stamos.  Escorts through purple mobs through the Hell that is Westview is sooo fun.  Its one thing like back in chapter 6 when all phases were set in Richland, or when the storyline was focused on protecting the Oracle.  Now its maybe one phase is centered in Richland.  I don't get it.

If you have to set it somewhere specific how about a fifth critical centered in International for a change?  Since you need 50 rep for the 5th crit, you'd at least be more than safe in Sai Kung.  International doesn't harshly scale me like the torture that is Westview does.

#36300461223 05/30/2008 01:45:16 Re:[10.2.3] Zion mission feedback thread: "Line Feed"
It isnt so much a problem with where the crits are set to play but where missions move in general. The whole systems should be set to move your missions to neighbourhoods of your level until you go above the max neighbourhood level for that district, then you does missions wherever you start them from. Instead it does the horrible, and well documented/complained about from new and old players alike, shift to stamos.

It really does need looking at, the amount of new players i've seen be put off and had to have been told to move to international because they dont understand is silly. Unfortunately, like you say, with crits, you cant always move.

In fact, me Chuui discussed it just under two years ago, lol.

Whoa, deja vu.

Heh yeah it sent me exactly where I expexted.  Right to Stamos Central.  Thats a seven level difference (23 vs. 30).  At one point it did send me down to Lucero, but you know how fun those Torches are.  On top of that, got killed by lvl 100 Agents twice.

Although the story wasn't bad.  Still, the scaling problem is getting really old.  Its fine in Int'l.  Dunno why Westview is always a problem.

Think it might have something to do with the district reflow, they reflowed the npc levels but not the mission pointers.

I hate the district altogether

A fair mission. More questions have arisen with the Decelerator program, hope they're answered before the end of the chapter. It was a little annoying to try to escape Machine programs while you're decelerated but maybe that was just part of the challenge of the mission. Some interesting operator and NPC comments especially the NPC asking what happened with the extracted bluepills.

In case anyone missed it the locked desk contained a type written message saying something along the lines of "Your contacts name is Soren, any changes to your standing orders will go through him".

Edit: My memory serves me well, Soren was the captain of the Vigilant.

Looks like that spy has been undercover for well over 3 years.

Yeah I got it, and so did Neoteny earlier! The mention of Soren is interesting, I'd forgotten who that was so thanks for pointing that out. I'd initially assumed it was a friend of Mauser who he was working with but since Soren's dead I guess not. The idea of having undercover bluepills is interesting though, I wonder what it could mean?

did anyone actually take the time to kill the deaccelerator besides me?  I had my ballista loadout and figure what the hell.  It took me 40 minutes.  Needless to say the loot was....less than desirable (15k and a code bit).  Do accelerators/runtimes/deaccelerators drop the accelerator bits when you kill the mission version of them or are they onlly dropped during live events?

Only drop in the Live Event versions, at least every one I have killed or helped kill in Live Events I have gotten a Bit and everyone One I have killed or help kill in missions I got a pretty poor drop >_<

Usually takes me 5-10 minutes to kill one, best off refining your load, loads of DOTs and IS Regen and Viral Damage (their defence is pretty much none existant) then cover them in DOTs and savage them with Logic Canon 2.0s and Logic Blasts and stuff, always keep at least 1 DOT going except when you are about to /sit for IS, just fill him with DOTs and he will continue taking damage so when it leaves Combat State, its regen wont undo all your hard work.

oh thanks.  yah i was just using logic cannon 2.0, logic blast 3.0 and logic barage 4.0.  Then when i had to sit i would root him or blind him (obvously i dont have much experience with hacker yet lol) which would slow his regain rate fora few seconds.  thanks though, next time i run across one i am gonna use that info.
