the female gi

ok i will start this thread since no one else has....

i dont know what caused such a change to the gi. it makes no sense, why did they change it? did someone complain about it? were they trying to make it look cooler?

i appreciate that they cleaned it up. it did look all spotchy around the collar but whats up with the pants?

the female gi is not supposed to have pants. it is an article of clothing exclusive to the matrix.

I liked and used the Gi a lot, I regularly saw people in the pantless Gi, it works, people enjoyed it, so it was changed... o_O
I will now use the same logic and take 1+1 and make 3!

EDIT: Those pants are far too tight to even look 'Gi like', at least the male pants look sort of baggy, the tight-ish female pants look out of place.

I would like to see the original female Gi come back, remove the pants please.

Because it was origionally like that, and I have heard far more people wanting it back to how it was than keep it.  In a perfect world we could have both versions, but this is MxO and pleasing everyone (which is possible here) is not an option.

True. But I on the other hand think's they look cool to the GI so I would rather have them stay. Morpheus and Neo did use GI's with pant's in the first Matrix Movie in the Dojo, so I can't see they remove something from the original Matrix?

In Final Flight of the Osiris, the female pantless Gi is an exact replica of the one Jue wore in that episode, and this is a step that is taking MxO away from that iconic Animatirix scene.

Someone already said it was because it was because she was flirting, but I think it was the removing of clothes that was done flirtatiously.  And if you think we want to perv on our female RSIs... well that says a lot more about you than it does to anyone else.  If it is because there is no underware on the RSIs, well put pants on the mini-skirts too.  And if it is because you cant do MA in the GI, well why have the Ashencourte Leggings (a green miniskirt) that has Melee buffs?

And just to mention it again, I lot more people seem to be against this change so I am still yet to find any logic in this change at all.

I would like to see the old ones come back as well. I was disappointed when I found out that *all* the gis had been changed to have pants. I thought the pants were ugly from the start, but was okay with it cause I thought it'd be another type and that the past gis weren't going to be messed with. I really don't like the pants! Yes it was a little skimpy... but it's an online game and you can't see anything anyway. Plus it's reminiscent of Final Flight of the Osiris, like nexus mentioned, and that made them extra cool and special to me. I'm a girl IRL, so this has nothing to do with wanting to "see" anything. You can't see anything anyway!

I agree with SolidRevolver on this one.  There just doesn't seem to be a strong, valid reason for changing them while there are pretty good reasons to have kept them as they were.

Maybe what we need is a collector to trade the new styles for the old styles. Personally... I *HATED* the old style. Call me a prude, but I never liked showing much skin (well, on Sieges, anyway; Morraeon is a whole other story :: Wink-wink, nod-nod:: ), and the gis up until now yucked me out big time. Final Flight of the Osiris aside -- and I never  really liked that clip; the first half was too soft-core pr0n for me -- we needed an alternative for people who weren't comfortable with it either; I'm sure there were others who felt like their female RSIs clothing choices were controlled by the dictates of hormonal fanboys of either gender. If we get a collecter so that the people who are cool with the old styles can trade in the new for the old, this will solve the situation.

it will start with little things and grow into much bigger issues.

i am against such ideas- i dislike even the thought of this game turning into some g-rated disney style parody of the matrix. which is what is happening. and it is because of people who do not like the gi for whatever reasons. what else i wonder do they not like?

the knife in the head animation which was the rooftop scene with neo and trinity in the first matrix? is it too violent?

what about 2 women kissing? persephone and niobe in enter the matrix

what about cake? all the sexy sounds u hear for eating it. definetly a creation of the merv  as u can see in matrix reloaded

i could go on and on and on

maybe we should shut up and not say anything as they remove more and more of the matrix from the matrix online

i do notice and am starting to have the opinion that some people might be playing this game who probably have never seen the trilogy. i think it is very funny but i know they exist; i can tell from way they talk.

but i want to remind them and we all should remind them

this is the matrix. it is a game based on a series of movies and short films. all of which were rated R for violent content, sexual behavior and explicit language.

if u got a problem with this game resembling the movies and short films, i ask u WHY ARE U PLAYING THE GAME?????

I'm a male, so how does this effect me? Oh right, it doesn't.

Anyways, the only thing people really have to argue about changing it back is it being a token tribute from Final Flight of the Osirus, but traditionally, something like that is more like a robe, not a Gi at all. It's something you'd see women wearing at a bath-house besides a Martial Arts Academy. And just for FYI, IRL Women do wear Gi's with pants, and yes, even so in 1999.
