Right, I'm making a note (and I'm hoping someone will remind me next year 
): I don't need to see faction mates to go to Fan Faire.
Mind you, I have a feeling that was probably the peak this year. Will it be as good next year?

I even had an early thread Months (sometime in March I think) before they start posting anything regarding Fan Faire.right thought id post while sitting in the airport about to leave the greatest city ever. had a great time will defnatley be there next year so long it mid august time again. quite a few lulz and it was great meeting the team and other players. virrago is the man can't believe how wasted he was. and rarebits really cool even though we didn't get much in the way of big announcments it was a better experience just being able to kick back and chill with the team. still can't believe rarebits face when we asked him for a photo of his mantits. oh and tempo bar rocks. one quick mention for julie the inturn who decided to crash into me on the go karts DUI right there. and hi to moonlite. just a final thing everyone was cool and ill see you next year ill bring walrus a bucket too next year lol.

The appropriate response to a Bill & Ted reference is always an enthusiastic "Wyld Stallions!" made more effective if done in unison with at least one other person.
Just took a look at the pictures and it looks like it was some serious fun. Also good to see ArchDuke reppin' the blue headlamp. The FM-1500 and Assassin Mask signs gave me a hearty chuckle as well.

I hope everyone had a good time, and survived our string of late-night Matrix parties (I felt a little bad for my SOE roommate from Denver as I came stumbling back into our room in the wee hours of each morning ;) more or less intact. I can't hope to do justice to everything that went on there in a single post, so I won't try, but memories leaping to the front of my mind right now include Mastatec's inspired on-stage Matrix shout-out at karaoke night, all of us shouting up at Tseng to jump down from the massive climbing wall at 1:00 am because the last buses were leaving, two guys who'd partied a bit too hard being escorted out of the brunch buffet from a table next to us by five security agents wearing black suits and even earpieces, Kazuki striking an awesome Neo pose on stage in the costume contest finals, Virrago's Warp Core heroics, and Craint buying everyone drinks as we dominated the Las Vegas Hilton's lounge for yet another night.
We had twice as many MXO players come out to Fan Faire this year than we did last year! The staff at the Hilton's buffet were hard-pressed to seat the 30 of us who trooped in together for food on the very first evening. I think we were very possibly the noisiest group at Fan Faire, after the of course massive EQ and SWG followings, and Matrix players are now certainly notorious in the minds of the various SOE staff surprised to find a large, boisterous group of players in the back rooms of the lounge every night. We had two energetic panel sessions (despite me taking too long to get through the ten-chapter story summary at the first one :p), an MXO demo stand (although I think we didn't discover it until the second day, after we'd "borrowed" most of the Agency's area on the first day) that drew a lot of onlookers, and MXO clips running on large screens during both the karaoke party, and the SOE keynote address--something that was altogether missing last year.

I've recently realized that I made a big mistake not going to this year's Fan Faire and I've sworn to myself that I will do whatever I can to make sure I'm there next year (Player of the Year or not ). Looks like an awesome time guaranteed.
I just hope it's in Vegas again. The only bad thing is that I'll turn 21 on the 27th of August, which could end up being the week after Fan Faire.

Just finished reading Virrago's latest blog about FF'08. It seem you all had a really great time.
I wish I could have been there for the whole thing but mostly I wish I'd been able to participate in the MxO panels which discussed he direction of the storyline and the setup of LE's etc... as no one has mentioned a summary of what was said.
I also wish I could have experienced the Star Trek experience with a large group of likeminded people as I doubt it'll still be there if I ever get to visit Vegas.
