I've always wondered what Revolutions would have been like if Gloria Foster hadn't died.  Do you think Rama-Kandra, Kamala, and Sati would still have been in it?  Or do you think they would still be in it, but without the part about Rama-Kandra trading the killcode for the Oracle to the Merovingian in exchange for Sati being brought into the Matrix?

What do you think?

I'm sure they would have thought up some way to skip around it. It would have been interesting to see how it would play out if she hadn't to have died though.

I'm think they may know... I've read articles where it said the W brothers had the whole trilogy mapped out at the beginning.  There may be some way to find out.

Quote:-

Because Smith's ego and power threaten to overwhelm both the real and Machine worlds, the Oracle chooses to help Neo - a decision that costs her dearly.  As it is explained in the video game Enter the Matrix, the Oracle's appearance (or "shell"SMILEY has been terminated by the vengeful Merovingian, so she takes a new form in Revolutions.

In developing the scripts for Reloaded and Revolutions, the Wachowskis discussed the idea of changing the Oracle's physical appearance, but decided instead to have actress Gloria Foster reprise her role from The Matrix in the second and third chapters of the trilogy.  When Foster passed away after completing her scenes for Reloaded, the Brothers returned to their original idea for the path of the Oracle.  "Gloria was a remarkably talented, charismatic woman," Silver recalls.  "We are extremely proud that she will always be remembered for delivering two of her finest performances in The Matrix and The Matrix Reloaded.  Fate forced the Wachowskis to alter the path of the Oracle to address Gloria's passing, but they were able to deepen the character's story as a result and I think it's very effective."

"It was wonderful to see the Brothers find a way to honor Gloria's death and continue growing the story in their changing of the script," Moss agrees.

So it was their original intention to have Oracle change form.

I have to say the second Oracle just seemed pissed off where as the first one played the part a lot better.

That's an interesting find Aqua, and that's really cool how they manage to push the storyline even further with her passing. Taking inspiration and revisiting old ideas always makes things a lot easier when loosing someone talented in your script and movie.

Oh, thanks Aquatium!  I always thought they just changed the way she looks because Gloria Foster died.  It's nice to know they didn't have to compromise and instead they were able to enhance what they set out to do in the first place.

I don't think we have still yet to see the real her.. no answers nothing.. you think this woman's just in it to feed birds and bake cookies?

What scares me is during the film's she had these very dark moments.. Like what she's saying is evil but she says it in such a way that many people take it wrong. For instance the scene where she tells Neo to take a seat.

Also lets face it she created Smith. Not to mention that she's standing with The Architect at the end.. Alot of people think her saying Neo was alive was a way to show hope.. I think if you rewatch it.. It's her and The Architect saying "Well be here if you try anything".

Also look at the pure malice in The Architects eyes towards the end of his last cinematic.. I think these Intruders might just be pushing him and The Oracle over the edge to give up hope in humanity.
