They and the Virologists are supposed to be gone. There was some server-side fiddling-around that apparently didn't happen when the update went Live. They'll probably be removed during an overnight server restart sometime pretty soon.
Nooooooooo, don't take them, I love them.
Do the Virologists still offer working mission tickets in case we wanna get some last minute Anniversary farming in tonight?

Nope. Collectors are gone too.

My guess is they were testing them to release them in the furture, but accidently slipped them through this patch like Zen Master. But because they are just a blank white dquare I am too scared to load them and see what happens....
And no, my info ^^

By the way, Rarebit, looks like people are loading these through /loadlo. When should we expect a rollback or a hotfix?

He mentioned a restart to remove the last of the smith stuff over night so mabey then? If they rollback I may have to farm the Mobius and HJBeta again >_<

Ok, point two I can live with... accidentally slipped through, we're not meant to see/have them yet. Point one is a bit more worrying... Either they aren't testing them to be released which means we're not likely to see them at all like Zen Master or (and this is the optimist speaking) They're not testing them (not now, they've already tested them) but will be released in the future...
Grrr.... Rarebit and his vague answers...

Nah, we won't be seeing these. They look a lot like HCFrog's concept for org ability trees, so work on them almost undoubtedly ceased when he left. And this is something Rarebit won't be able to do by himself: it's one thing to move from mission design to level design, it's quite another matter learning to program.
Although Dracomet has been very quiet for the past few months. What on Earth is he working on?

They seem to be working though, I only had a quick look at the buff abils and they worked fine, I dont see why these cany be implemented in a Hotfix soon fully.

Well I'm not sure if /bug reports still work, but I sent in a /bug report about it and how to load them. The org abilities do work apparently, from what I've seen.

All we really need is some logos and a place on the ability tree and away we go

Oh man, dont remove them though, this is much better then any other update in a LONG time - they already work - KEEP THEM IN!!!
(Thanks to whatever programmer/coder sneaked this in intentionally, you rock!)

Because I don't want to get area-stunned and then have THEM be area stunned every other minute every time I go to fight a mech in Datamine, or get bit for 1k damage when fighting a Merv. These are kinda ridiculous.

Obviously some tweaking is needed, and they need to cost Memory points to match the normal abils so the level 50 Abil would cost 5 Memory points which means your weakening your normal tree to add these abils in.
#3630043654804/03/2008 16:20:58Re:Update 59 Discussion - April 03, 2008
It's looking like they're just going to make them unloadable rather than roll everything back. So I don't suggest spending too much money on them.
#3630043654904/03/2008 16:21:36Re:Update 59 Discussion - April 03, 2008
If they get the rep requirements working you won't need to worry about getting stunned all the time. There aren't many Machinists with maximum reputation.
No, not many. Mwuah-ahahahahahah!
Anyway, yeah, they seem to sort of work. I can load the top three Machinist ones, but not the lower two. I do hope these end up working... Needing maximum repuation will stop some people org hopping, the fickle beggars.
#3630043655004/03/2008 16:24:17Re:Update 59 Discussion - April 03, 2008
Even if they work or look like they're working they still may need some work done on them with balancing and making sure that everything works properly (rep requirements etc...) plus they really need icons.
I'm hoping to see these in the near future, perhaps update 60, but Rarebit's comments still worry me. All I can hope for now is that these were HCFrogs babies that were almost done or were thought out completely and Dracomet is finishing them off. Then it's 9mmFu's turn to QA them then either Walrus's or Virrago's job to announce them...
Yay! Is that all the big red names? In one post! Fantastic!
#3630043655304/03/2008 16:28:29Re:Update 59 Discussion - April 03, 2008
Why do you keep posting them in red?
Oh, and I was wrong about being unable to load two. They're loaded, but they're passive abilities which just buff. Only they don't appear in the buff bar like Glimmer of the Source.

Because I'd like it if these forums automatically did it, plus it catches the eye and i'm strange that way...
I don't come between you and your tree so leave my red Dev and CRM foibles alone you...

Yeah, that's right, because I can... do a ridiculous amount of damage using one move without the other person being stated...? And stun people without using an ability...?
