I can't be arsed to look up and exactly quote verbatim, but I think Rarebit said somewhere that the SSR NPCs would drop consumables that will be useful to almost everyone that you can trade for something that would be useless to almost everyone. My guess? A PvP-enhancing item. I can't guess at the stats now, that would be... too Oracle-like of me.

Man, beta folks are some whiny **CENSORED**.  Y'all feel screwed by this tactic, but what about vets that have been here since launch and forward?  The whole Mobius Code/Beta HJ giveaway for trial customers screwed us the most.

Does other people having these abilities REALLY affect how you play the game?  For reals.  I have Mobius Code, and find it to be pretty useless, as far as abilities go.

Let's hope the gum is something really special, if for any reason than to placate the beta elitists.

I appreciate this. I use Mobius code a good bit on Neoteny, but none of the other characters I play with any frequency existed at that time, so they don't have it. And since it's been going around to all of the trial accounts, I've felt a little slighted. So I'm glad that my midlevel character that I actually play will be on equal footing with Neoteny now, as will my little Syntax EPN guy and my little Vector Cyph.

I'm one of the people that actually appreciates this.  I didn't start the game in Beta and also didn't start the game on a trial account so I missed out on both possibilities for getting this item.  I know for some vets this sucks, but as someone else said once they gave it out to trial accounts it lost it's status as a beta or pre-order item.

Gotta disagree with you there.  The Assassin's Mask was a reward for an event.  Something that only nine people have (I think?).  Beta HJ and Mobius Code weren't.
