Jesus H. Christ !
I go by Virrago here.
Thanks though.
*sigh*
so when is the release?
PVP
I am loving the new area and the fact that it means we can get more in the future, I am not happy about having to fight to stay there >_<
I was only hoping certain areas would be PVP, at least.
Sounds like a place to data mine for a really big profit, but anyone can beat you up! O_O
It really looks like a fun place to explore though
It's got everything! Warehouses, helicopter landing pads, the barge, the bridges! goodness!
Omg, I came.
lol this like other things in life i did not need to know...
PvP... AllvAll in fact.... no chance to wander around and take in the sights... No sitting on the benches... 7 Proxies and a random entry position.
I'd be interested in seeing how this fits in to the story or even if they'll be a mention about it in the story...

But what's this about the engagement protocols? What does it mean if they're enabled? Are we allowed to fight or aren't we? This either means it's nice and quiet, like a normal district, or... free-for-all!
Oh. My. Good. God. Man, that's too exciting for words." width="15" height="15">

Engagement protocals are enabled thus you can attack anyone... Can't go indoors though.. access restricted...
I guess the Datamining *10 yield is to offset the risk involved... AoE attacks will hurt mission team...
HOLY MACKEREL!!!

HOLY MACKEREL!!!
Nope its the Datamine construct... this is a Holy Mackerel:

Methinks this is a FFA construct.

Now I'm excited.
It mentions both hostile and friendly protocols, so it doesn't seem to be a case of PvP or nothing.

Engagement protocals are enabled thus you can attack anyone...That's just it: the fact that they're enabled has ambiguous consequences. When were we told what the engagement protocols meant? As far as I'm concerned the protocols being 'engaged' could mean they're actively stopping us from fighting. If the engagement protocols are dropped, we're free to fight. I don't know.
HOLY MACKEREL!!!
ditto. I know where i'm spending my next 260 days of play time heh

Important word highlighted!
Any my post a bit higher up on the first page says AllvAll...
*waits for everyone elses opinions before I post mine*
hmm

Remember that time on Syntax (may have been on other servers) when everyone could attack everyone else, regardless of Org... that was due to engagement protocals being enabled for enemies and friendlies... The protocal for engagement has been enabled, allowing you to attack. If it were the other way round I believe it'd say something like Passive Protocals Engaged. (If I am mistaken I will be wearing a very red face for a while!
)
Not something I'd hoped for but I guess hoping for an extra district with NPC's and HL's and Mission contacts would have been a far greater undertaking...

hmm
Not sure about the perma PVP?

This construct looks sweet. Thanks to Rarebit and team for putting this together and testing it. I had never been expecting anything new in terms of areas for the Matrix, and this opens up many possibilities for the game.

Significantly we know that new areas are possible Vinia... so perhaps sometimes in the future we can hope for new districts.
Although i am disspointed this isnt a new district as such im happy we have a new toy to play with and i for one will be playing alot...
Would be a lot more funner if this is a single construct accessible by all servers....
Oh you can have teams but be wary of AoE attacks and there is no way to prevent you or your teammate from turning on you...
pvp would be good, even ffa, but that means no teams right? You can use teams actually. lol

Would be a lot more funner if this is a single construct accessible by all servers....
That would be awesome, but would require a new server? *not 100% sure*
pvp would be good, even ffa, but that means no teams right? That means any org can make teams with anyone but the people in the teams will also get dmg from areals etc. However it also means (since team) that areal heals also work. XD
The area itself is looking good. Free-for all pvp being enabled is good. However, if the area has pvp enabled by default like the other constructs, it would ruin it - why bother making it nice and detailed if we have no chance to enjoy it?

Would be a lot more funner if this is a single construct accessible by all servers....
Doubt that will happen, but still....
/whoa

Friendly fire enabled? Good. Mandatory pvp? Makes the area worthless to me.fixed
They shudda called it friendly fire in the first place and not ffapvp
I don't recall it saying anything about engagement protocols being enabled. I'll have to check.Remember that time on Syntax (may have been on other servers) when everyone could attack everyone else, regardless of Org... that was due to engagement protocals being enabled for enemies and friendlies... The protocal for engagement has been enabled, allowing you to attack. If it were the other way round I believe it'd say something like Passive Protocals Engaged.
As for interior access, I'm guessing it means we can enter the public areas (lobbies, stairways etc.) but the mission areas haven't been generated.
Come to think of it... just because you can attack anyone doesn't mean that you will be automatically flagged... I must admit its probably likely that you will be but not necessarily, you could still have to flag... that means the benches are saved!Remember, it's a construct, not an archive.

*prays*
Remember, it's a construct, not an archive.Ah, right... gotcha..." width="15" height="15" />

Seems to me a lot of people are making assumptions based on the text on the map says. Simple fact is we are not going to KNOW what is going on until the patch notes or Rarebit comes out and tells us exactly what is going on. Until that point im going to reserve judgement on what will or wont be happening in this area.
One thing we can all be thankful is something brand new to play with.

But... in yesterday's shots... there was an archivist shown to 'get you there'....... so which is it?
Friendly fire enabled? Good. Mandatory pvp? Makes the area worthless to me.
lol Try living on Vector. From my point of view this is just what we needed to have some were new to go and fight if we wish to just cuz we are all flaged that dos not mine we have to fight. lol but just think if there was anyone in your org you would like to kill now you can... see not all bad
Grave
