The Nebuchadnezzar

Devil's Advocate question here:

We know the Neb was built in the US. It is states so on that "plate" with the year (which I forget right now).

According to The 2nd Rennaisance, 01 is somewhere in the Middle East, possibly Jarusalem. And we know from Reloaded and the Merv missions this last chapter that Zion and 01 are close to each other.

So my question is, how did the Neb get from North America to the Middle East?

I don't buy "underground tunnels" because of the oceans.

Possibly it was shipped there, but how/why/for what reason?

And for that matter, why are the pods only in the middle east?

Perhaps in that "time", The United States was a frame of mind, we declared war on the machines and lost. Those that were the fortunate enough to create Zion, and what we stand for steadily, may have had some Military service, fighting the bots fanning out from 01.

Not all, as The Millers tale explains, but those that had the knowledge to create such craft from the remains of civilization.

I believe the man or people that made the Nebuchhadezzar served in the US armed forces, or created our warplanes and nukes. Nonetheless, American, true and through.

Oh, and for the record.    Using the Machines technology to create our HvCfts that have benifited us in this war and the past wars is an acheivment for the Human race, and a massive lack of forethought on the machines part.

They are no better than us.

That's assuming the Machines didn't have 16 shiny new hovercraft built ready and waiting at Zion's dock at the beginning of the cycle of the Prophecy. . . .

I don't know, if you recall back to Reloaded, the Matrix is older than originally thought and the war has been going on longer than they thought.  If Zion was built by machines then why not the Hovercraft?  Maybe the plate was just another part of that lie?

You know, nobody considers that the hovercraft were built by human redpill engineers who had a sense of humor and put "Made in USA" plates on all the hovercraft as a joke. I mean, there's stuff in the movies that suggests the city is in the US, so why shouldn't awakeneds still have that American machismo for "Made in USA" on their warships?

Large out in the open areas to build what they wish, and lots of oil for fuel.  The US would be full of half demolished buildings making moving very difficult plus the Machines were basically forced there as they weren't allowed in the UN so they went away to start their own government.

I think it is clear that the APUs and hovercrafts are man-made. Look at how disheveled the wiring is in the crafts. I'd believe the hovercrafts were made prior to the war and the APUs during the war, adapted from the human-machines they used in 2nd Ren part II in the surface battles.

Someone mentioned that Zion could be under the US. What signs show that possibility?

Assuming that the trilogy and the animatrix (2nd Ren I & II) are consistent, then 01 in in the middle east and so is Zion. I would also assume that the plate is from an error prior to the point where they "lost track of time" but I could accept that it is inaccurate at the least or a blatant lie. This always leaves the question of how the craft is rebuilt or repaired between versions.
