The General is lying.

He has to be. He says he only took her because he thought it would cause a fight, but he was watching her long before he made that conclusion.

This would be very interesting if the Intruder is after Sati. But why?

We know the Oracle told Neo she was important somehow...

Mhm...I have a copy of a form of zion archive in my computer. You all know it, even though most of you aren't working for zion anymore. The recorded historical references of the Ones, and Neo. It basically tells the tid bits of history we miss orally. You are all familiar with it. ((It's my RP reference 2 movies ^_^)) According to my copy o the text, Smith, referred to Sati as the "Last Exile". Why would he call her by such a title, Seraph, the Oracle, and smith himself, all can be or are classified as Exiled Programs. So, why would Sati be called the "Last Exile". I believe if the Intruder does have an interest in  her, as the noded event assumes, I believe it has a connection to her formal title.

### REPLY TRANSMISSION FROM MUSOUKA

Man...I feel somewhat embarassed this log came out. Went into the meeting with agents on my tail (far behind me, though), had the General scare me behind my back, -and- knew nothing about the situation and spat out psychobabble.

Looks like I'll have to talk with Mr. Grey Coat ((Tranque)) to get up to speed. Until then, may as well visit the Archives...

Back on topic, though. I think the whole thing with the General keeping Sati in his captivity does give the Intruder a purpose, regardless of how esoteric it may seem at this point. Like I said at the meeting, we should wait just long enough to see his next move and find out what's really going through his head. De nouveau, we wait.

Personally, I'm not very patient. You?

((HAD A BLAST at my first Live Event. I don't think I'll soon forget this experience.))

Interesting, a revelation about what the Intruder may be looking for and the General being put on the spot about his original intentions toward the Simulation. I was wondering if the Merv org was ever going to question him on that. Although I'm pleased to know about this new piece of information, I would have been happier if the Machines had told us this themselves along with the Intruders intentions, if they know them.

That being said, the evidence that we are aware of certainly seems to point toward Sati being the item sought by the Intruder, but I suspect that there is more to it than that.

So... the Intruder came here because of Beatts... to think that I had almost lost faith in his abilities to ruin everything...

((Ah, the lovely thing that is sarcasm. Don't you love it?

Seriously, though. I'm surprised that I'm one of the few people that actually made a serious reply to this topic. I have to agree with Delicho, nobody is talking about this and nobody is saying anything smart about it regarding those that have talked about it.

Except MotorZ, and DemondHunter, and myself... OK, so most of us had something smart to say. But you guys need to put in more input, darn it!))

I brought that up a while ago, didn't cause a big conversation but it did bring a new prospective to mind.

((Are you talking about the relatively few responses to this LE? If so, I'm sorry my first wasn't good enough, but noone has to reply to it. It wasn't something that requires great debates.. the Merv hypothesised something so personally I thought 'OK, fine that's what he thinks...' what more is there to say? The General was put under pressure and was questioned on his past actions and he lied or tried to palm it off to get on with the current situation, that was to be expected really considering his current alliance and the intentions that he had when he first started.))

So few people replied to this thread because at the end of the day, the majority of this population sees the Merovingian org as a joke or insignificant because it isn't on a clear side of the fence in this war. That and the fact that the focus of this game in a state of war is on the opposing sides. The only room left for the Merovingian is the fodder  and crooked deals in-between. There is pertinent stuff going on here, that will effect the story going forward, but unless it involves the Mech/Cyph or Zion/EPN, no one's interested or concerned, at least. There's an obvious unbalance here. My hat's off to the liaison that holds the org on Recursion for keeping this aspect of the story alive.

Honestly its not that we see it as a joke, its just that the doors it has opend for it it's takeing forever to walk through. When the war started the merv crits were the first ones I ran cuse rather then the typical bland "area, kill everyone, area, kill everyone, area, kill everyone" style we had for awhile the merv was actully looking into areas that had never been questiond before. The pop of the Megacity, the useage of the pods and how they generated energy, all areas that we have yet to see anything other then what was stated in the movies being broudend but when it came down to it we were left with a half figured answer.

I realize that good story telling doesn't tell you everything all at once but the questions chpt 8s merv crits had us wondering have been left out to dry. 9.1s set of just smoozeing the intruder could and should have been completed in 2 maybe 3 missions. I'll admit the 9.2 cirts have sorta gone back to how it was in chpt 8 but theres only so many obviously futile attempts and stupid plans Flood can give us untill it gets boring hacking the same computer only to come up empty handed.

Lets see, first I ever heard of the General was when he started having those copters flying around with fliers saying "Don't Trust The Frenchman." Then our information network happened upon some data that the General was trying to forge an alliance with Zion , most specifically with Niobe (I know it was in a cinematic and technically RP wise none of us saw it , but for the sake of roleplay I'll say we got the information some other way).

Fast forward to now and he shows up ....wait his holographic projection appears and all of a sudden he wants to make all nicee nicee with us and say that he was on our side the whole time...

uhuh...

If I had to guess I would say that the General got his *CENSORED* handed to him and now he wants to get back in to good graces , or at least make the appearance of doing that.

Well the Merv knows how to handle guys like that, and as far as anyone else with doubts just remember, keep your friends close, your enemies closer....
