When is anything going to happen? I've been playing for a little while hoping to see some new element of plot make itself known but I have yet to see anything other than PvP'ing, group missions from archives and a heap of NPC-bashing. I've managed to tag nearly every *CENSORED* hardline in the entire place, all 4 districts, in less than 2 weeks because of the lack of plot - I've been so bored I deliberately go to international just to get shot by an agent, because at least it's some kind of action.
Don't get me wrong, the game is fun and all but I bought it and started playing under the impression that the plot was continuing. Right now it seems to have stagnated.
So yeah - does anyone know if the story is continuing or is it just a one-player game with chat function from now on?
Yes, the plot continues, just on hold for the holidays.
Events will happen once the new episode starts
Here is what Walrus posted about it some time ago:
Thursday, December 13: Winter Holiday 2007 BeginsHard to believe, but we're not far from our Third-Annual Winter Holiday event. Snowballs and hats for everyone! (Along with a few additional new clothing pieces.)
Thursday, January 10: End of Winter Holiday plus Update 57 and Chapter 9.2
And then we're into 2008. With the craziness surrounding the holidays, we'll be waiting until January 10 to release a new update to the game. Until then, the Winter Holiday festivities will continue.

Yeah Just be patient it is all due to the Holiday.... IDK if you've done archive missions but those are the previous chapters of the story so if you haven't go get acquainted with what you missed....guarantee it'll take you more then 2 weeks unless you don't have a life
I've heard of em, I just REALLY want to play em ^^.
In Moriah Projects (north, I think) there's a bookstore, with "Discount Books" on the sign out front. Go in there, talk to the main desk dude, buy an archive mission, then walk over to the guy in the middle of the bookstore (he'll show up as Archive Broker) and then go to your inventory, find the archive mission, right click it and go "Use Item". It should enter one of the archive missions which for all intents are purposes will be a normal mission, except a fair bit harder but with a heap of XP at the end of it.
After running a few of those with some friends, I jumped from level 13 to level 16 in a matter of hours.

I already know most of what's happened I read up on it all before I started playing.

They are located at your friendly neighborhood Archivist Brokers.
The Zion one is near Moriah Projects East hardline. The machine one is near the Midian East hardline and the Merovingian one is near the Appollyon Northwest hardline. Look at your map once you are there and you will see the symbol for it, which is a book. Then go talk to the little man behind the counter and he will show you a huge list of stuff. You can buy archived sub-chapters of critical missions for 50k each (dont worry, you will make that info back and then some. You can buy Chapters 1-8 currently. After you buy it, check your inventory and right click on the thing you bought and select activate to start your mission.
Once you complete the series of missions, you will get a token for that sub-chapter. The tokens can be collected and traded for nice swag at another contacts. The Zion Collector is named Zion Researcher and she is about 100 meters due east of the camon heights central hardline. The Merovingian Collector is named Merovingian Analyst and is in Apollyon right next to the Red Line Subway. The Machine Collector is named Machine Investigator and is due East of the Gracy Heights Central hardline.
