Is that a wearable ribbed latex commando outfit I smell right there?
I wonder if the 'Commando encounter' is the new gameplay asset for farming the Shadow pills?

Random Elite Commando's spawning in the white halls + Good loot ((we can pray right? SMILEY   ))?

Hmm... nice clothing and nice googles.

By the way, who's that crazy guy? He sure have a bad taste for hair. xD

#36300329333 09/26/2007 15:58:43 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007

Ooooh, Elite Commandos!

Never did get to fight one of them things (being a Merv), but if the Boss needs a mop-up on some trouble-makers, I know someone who'd be more than delighted to take it on...

I think that's Rarebit lol

Looks awesome! Probably what he meant about needing outside to obtain the other pills.

Methinks that 'guy' is a gal (Rare?!), but your right, strange taste in hair style.. to each their own I guess!

Loved fighting those guys though.

Jeez, with all of these exiles popping up everywhere (data nodes, Headless, Commandos) I wonder what impact this'll have on the stability of the Matrix.

Any information on a Producer's Letter?
#36300329361 09/26/2007 16:45:46 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007

So lets see

  •  Some kind of Elite Commando quest? Nice.
  • Elite commando suit on redpill - neck down, no gloves or boots. I love it.
  • Elite commando goggle - eyeware, I presume. Note the redeye trail is present.
  • More use of the white hallways is always a good thing.

Also note the image retrieval makes note of programs escaping the Merovingian's holding constructs before this - a reference to Pandora's Box...

I was just attacking his fashion sense. ^^

#36300329388 09/26/2007 17:49:26 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007
sweet, now we can wear The General's gimp suit I suppose?
#36300329400 09/26/2007 18:09:36 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007

I guess the new goggles make the Red Eye perpetual a little less meaningful, eh?

Wait, no! Don't make us farm more stuff because of that statement! Augh!

I was thinking the same thing.

The elite commando suit is ugly, but *CENSORED*..  I've wanted those goggles for a long time.

Please let this be a continuation of pandoras.

Neither Pandora's nor pills.
#36300329464 09/26/2007 19:55:58 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007
I hope you can get the boots and gloves, otherwise were gonna look silly.

This looks like awesome to me.  The only problem is raising enough cash for a Construct Key, but hey I was going to do that eventually anyway.  Oh, I hope this gear has good Sniper buffs...

Those doors have no locks.
#36300329471 09/26/2007 20:09:22 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007
*gibbers a bit*  Wh.. whoa.

Edit: Now that you mention it, it does look subtly different to the normal hallways.  It's hard to tell for sure though from just that picture.  Is anyone taking bets on where we access it from?
#36300329472 09/26/2007 20:12:10 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007
Oh really?
#36300329479 09/26/2007 20:23:20 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007
You think you recognize that hallway? Look again.
#36300329484 09/26/2007 20:32:17 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007
They do look different, you can tell by looking all the way in the background. If it was the hallway from the Org Keys, then the light would of turned right, but in the picture, the ceiling light stops and hits a wall.

Edit: And the shadow in the corner.
#36300329485 09/26/2007 20:32:46 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007
The goggles = yes.

The suit = ....meh @ best.

This is truly a goatee stroker...hmmm.....
That suit is beyond awesome as a wearable.
#36300329492 09/26/2007 20:44:35 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007
The suit would be awesome, especially if it have level 40-50 buffs.
#36300329507 09/26/2007 20:57:55 Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007
There are two/three options for buffs:

11 pts of Resistance - please no.

10% in Inned strenght - "meh"

Uber buffs like in Area K - Best choice.

Another white hallway instance... I like that. I think the White hallways and Org areas are being under utilised at the moment.

Follow the light on the ceiling and watch it go into the background, you'll see it end and hit a wall. That wall there gives a shadow in the corner. The hallways we have now aren't like that.

My bet is Tabor West - I remember a thread about an e-mail being sent announcing the Headless quest, at the end of the e-mail it said that this wrapped up the stuff in Uriah and the next stop was Tabor West so I'd put good money on that being an access point - that or the top of the ascension monument, which would be very cool!!
#36300329665 09/27/2007 09:02:15 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007
However this is going to be implemented, I look forward to it.  Those goggles would be sweet to have.  I'm not quite as confident about the suit, especially for a bald man like myself, but I'm sure it'll serve its purpose.
#36300329685 09/27/2007 10:03:32 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007

Hopefully red eye isn't permanently attached, kinda devaluates [opinion] the archive and perpetual versions we have now.

But hey, new encounters are always cool [opinion] - hopefully its not too strongly team based though, its nice [opinion] to have something to solo every once in a while.

Oh and i doubt its in tabor (or at least shouldnt be [opinion]) since thats canon-ly [oh noes! bad word!] a machine hq.

lol cloud, you afraid that a Mod stalks you?

*a shadow disappears from the corner of clouds post*

Eh, right.

Anyways the "neither pandora nor pills" sounds conforming, though the Pandora storyline is a cool subquest =/
#36300329712 09/27/2007 11:00:56 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007

This intrigues me.

But... (there's always a big "but" isn't there? SMILEY ) I hope that the Elite Commando suit, assuming we can wear it, doesn't force us to go barefoot/gloveless/hatless as pictured in the screenshot.  Unless the suit itself has some uber buffs to compensate for the lack of clothing.  Still, the "Scuba Steve" look is a bit silly.

And if this gives the White Hallways more use, that's a major plus.

I figured it would be kind of like an outer-suit.  Which is placed in the "coat" section of your character and that black/lined color would just go over what you're wearing, from head to toe (provided you're wearing anything).
#36300329812 09/27/2007 14:12:05 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007
I for one love the suits - reminds me of MGS and Splinter Cell.
#36300329832 09/27/2007 15:03:48 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007

It looks like a catsuit for female - Shirt

and maybe a Rocawear style for male - Coat

#36300329838 09/27/2007 15:24:07 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007
Nah, gotta be the same slot for gameplay balance. Outerware... OR split it into seperate shirt and pants.

The catsuits/fighting dresses are actually places in the shirt section for women... are Roca wear outfits the same?
#36300329841 09/27/2007 15:31:50 Re:Image Retrieval - September 26, 2007
Black boots, Black formal gloves, The suit, The headgear, and if your lucky enough to have a female rsi, A black mask, should be about as close as you can get to being an elite commando (unless the headgear takes up the hat slot instead of the glasses slot).

Too bad theres no male masks that cover the whole face, would have looked good. (hint hint: male masks as another reward in the patch after next as part of the commando encounter reward set. Unless theres already a male mask that im not aware of.)
