Everyone,
The data we retrieved from the raid on the Merovingian's data cluster was indeed scouting information on the power lines running from the pods to the Machine city. This data will be invaluable as we make plans for a bold stroke that may change the face of the war, and give new hope to everyone fighting the Machines.

Tut tut tut.....someone needs to learn their manners. Shame when an organization has to stoop to such depths in the despricity of war.

The day that you become more than a small annoyance is the day that you die. Ask Morpheus. EPN is walking a very thin line.

This was a good event, just need to get that neural level up a lil more.
Some nice shots there though!

Just shows how many of those Tactical Security were there even after EPN took a few down, the building had 3 exit points (3 balconies) all of them were covered with Tactical Security.

Because the *last* time someone attacked the Machines' power supply won the war. Oh, wait.

After the end of the Operation Tsusai, Draggy, Quidam, Olbaid and Kaaleb took out the remaining Tactical Security NPC's. This was to show we arn't afriad to fight, the team I was in managed to take down 9 before being called to fall back to the de briefing

Thank you goes to the General and the Merovingian who were kind enough to collect this information and put it all in one convenient spot for us. It made it much easier for us to gather.
It will be useful, we can assure you of that.

My, aren't we presumptious? I was actually referring to EPN having the stones to steal from the Frenchman.

As much as it galls me to, in anyway, agree with a Cypherite, "playing with fire" is an apt description on many levels...
The Kid has my admiration for his pro-activity. However, his planned sortie may hold unpredicted and dire consequences to the Pod-Bound. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. This recently "liberated" data is unlikely to disclose all there is to know, as The Merovingian himself is still asking questions on this topic.
The stakes with which Michael gambles are far too rich for my blood. Through human history, forays made within a "Cold War" climate have often been the ruin of the aggressors ((Vietnam, Bay of Pigs, Korea, Soviet-Afghani Conflict)): I hope that this example does not cause more problems than it solves.

Reading the report, a smile flickers across his face as he visualises all those dead lupines at the hands of EPN to steal the Merovingian's data.
Closing his eyes to clear his mind of all distractions, he focuses his mind on the task ahead.
So it begins.

I'd hit it. But the question is...would I hit it enthusiastically?
Seriously though, I would've liked to see how the operation would've turned out if the Merovingian didn't have some random dregs on duty. The information couldn't have been that valuable if we weren't dispatched to stomp this charade into the ground.

A very ambitious plan, but ultimately the 'action now, deal with consequences later' actions of Popper and Shimada are self defeating. I have pointed out for a fair while back to Gray that the powerlines would be a likely target for the Kid and his band of merry terrorists. You can be sure that getting close to them will be the least of your worries, increased sentinel activity and Machinist patrols will abound and even if you do manage to disrupt the supply, how long do you think it'll stay disrupted. The ability of the Machines to produce mechanisms is uncanny, and one of the original reasons why Mankind decided to try to annihilate them in the beginning. Repairing the power conduits would certainly take less time than depletion of 01 power reserves.
Also we are aware of the fields and the Pod city.... are you quite sure that there isn't any more around the planet?

Meh, even if one of them stood up to Popper (Although I believe a few have tried to change his mind about this plan, but failed miserably) That Kid doesn't have the sense to listen to the people who actually think about things first...

You coward.
How can you call yourself a member of EPN, an organization dedicated to the memory and deeds of a man who gave his last breath for Humanity?
Did The One sit back and ask Morpheus, "well, should we wait until there's a easier way?" No! He did what he could, when he could. And EPN is supposed to be following that example!
If you cannot look inside yourself and find the intestinal fortitude that it takes to be a dedicated member of E Pluribus Neo, then please, return to Zion and await Lock's orders. I'm sure he'll have some peperwork or something equally harmless for you to worry about. . .

If I were Neo I would see EPN as traitors. He gave his life for a glimmer of hope of peace, starting with a truce between Man and Machine and what do you do? You not only help to destroy perhaps the chance for peace, you actively and publicly plan to destroy any chances of there ever being peace.
RetroX is one of only a few members of your organisation who understand the futility of the attempt, but maybe when your all rotting on the surface, he may guide a new EPN, perhaps to peace, perhaps to death, but probably using better planning than you and your Kid.

RetroX is one of only a few members of your organisation who understand the futility of the attempt, but maybe when your all rotting on the surface, he may guide a new EPN, perhaps to peace, perhaps to death, but probably using better planning than you and your Kid.
Sorry but no, Neo didn't die for a "peace" that breaks as soon as someone digs a hole to move away from the loaded gun pointed at them. What type of peace is it when the other side has to be able to pound you into submission in order to live together? If that's the only peace the machines are willing to give us then I stand by Michael's desicion to take the fight to them and hope that Zion follows suit soon. It's better to die on your feet then live on your knees and I'll gladly lay down my life if it means that others after me will have a chance at the peace Neo truely invisioned.

There was never peace, it was a truce, a base to build a bridge between races. I'm not saying that the Machines didn't endanger the truce themselves from time to time, they did and so did Zion. EPN most certainly did. However New Zion is a direct contravention of the truce as agreed by Zion and the Machines. Neo didn't die for peace, he died in the hope of there being peace one day.
Dying on your feet in a futile plan is just as bad as allowing your enemy to freely walk up and snuff out your fragile life.

The fact that there was never peace proves that EPN is not the ones to blame and that it is Zion and 01's fault that any of this was allowed to happen. Neo told DEM that he wanted peace and was willing to fight Smith and sacrifice himself to get it. Had either of them listend and done what Neo wanted we wouldn't be here now at war but quiet possibly sitting next to each other rebuilding a fallen world. The only ones Neo would see as traitors are those that abandon'd his dream of peace for the truce and those that fight for it's restablishment with out any sort of amendment or rewriteing.
Liveing on your knees is allowing your enemy to walk up to you and take away your rights.

And attacking 01 and the Machines is your idea of restoring the peace that he strived for?

No attacking 01 is our way of telling the Machine we arn't going to stand for their oppression and show them that we arn't about to bend over backwards for them again. This war isn't about destoying an entire race it is about the demanding the rights that humanity has been denied.
We never had peace so what is there to defend? We are here to create a peace and make sure it isn't as one sided as last time.
