Me and someone I picked up at Mara C went farming together and came across several spawns. Loads of Data Simulacrums, some Tactical Security spawns, and some gang spawns. Nothing major. Best I got was more Experience Code Amplifiers which got me to max XP for lvl 50.
I've decided that I'll stop looking for the Quicksilver gloves and maybe they'll come to me.
(but if anyone has any exact details as to what district you were in, what tool you were using, what clothes you were wearing when you got the gloves, that would be great. )

Can anyone explain exactly what the Data Scrambler 0.4 does?

I only just started using that today, but due to other events ingame, only used it for a short while. Need to confirm, but obviously most likely a faster spawn rate, but new spawns with it? Need to check.

The only difference I've seen so far is that Clusters, when they spawn, will contain a whole bunch of red frags. I've had a few Corrupted spawn on me in pairs, but that's about it. Nothing else new that I can see, but maybe I've just been having terrible luck getting spawns with the Data Scrambler 0.4.

Excellent guide
I just started hunting tonight and didn't really get anything amazing. Some of those spawns sound insane though, especially the giant corrupted. Even if I doubt I'll ever get whatever it is they and the other uber spawns drop, I'd love to know anyway.

Taskmaster spawn is bugged if you're an Area hacker. Don't hit them both at once =P

The Data Scrambler .4 has the highest rate for spawns, but the lowest rate for random data clusters. When data clusters do spawn, however, they are lootable eight times in a row with a different red frag for each. Data Scrambler .4 also gives more info. It does not seem to affect your success rate for harder data nodes (those in the white halls). It's all in the details for anyone who has it.

I got a lupine spawn in union hill. It is basically the same as blood drunks. FYI: Second Wave comes before First Wave is completely dead.

The lvl 100 Agent is a wildcard loot, it seems. I got Info, Red Frags, and Quicksilver from my lvl 100 agent.

Level 100 Agent: Overdrive luggable
Wasteland corruptor: Nothing (Rarebit said so )
And I'm not sure if you mentioned the lootable data clusters.

Thanks, I'll update the rest soon, also if no one has mentioned it yet, the tapping range on the scrambler 0.4 is insane!

Update:
Siphon 2 is siphon level 20, decom level 35. Also faster, more chance of frags but brings with it hostile spawns, no mention of increased info.

Found two moreinterseting things tonight.
1.I had a group of at least 5 exiles( succubus, nightmares, vampires, etc ) spawn on me noding downtown ALL lvl 60.I tried to ss but i was solo and died too fast.
2. Had one very large data cluster that had one of every patch in the game in it.
Great patch so far most fun I've had in mxo in a long time!

1. Yea, thats the Tengu/Gargoyle spawn set.
2. That will have been something left by people using the Scrambler 0.4, that has a lower chance of turning a data node into a cluster, but when it does you are able to loot all 8 frags of whichever type is inside it.

I can't get anything to spawn in Richland. I tried for like 2 hours today.
#3630029001007/24/2007 02:45:24Re:Data Taps, Spawns and Coding - Latest Content Explained
I was using either a Data Extractor 1.0 or 2.0 in Chelsea when I was attacked by a new kind of NPC called a "Data Simulacrum" (not to be confused with the Viral Simulacrum witnessed earlier). They look much like the Viral/Antediluvian sims. There details can be found on my Character Details page. There at the very bottom, above the "Data Sentry" entry.
Inside the data cluster that spawned upon their defeat was an Experience Code Amplifier. There was one other thing inside the cluster, but I can't remember what it was. I'm very sure it was something like a code frag, nothing massively important.

I got some Tactical Security, I went to see how many nodes where in Eshan Projects and tapped a small one, luckily it was a Solo-able spawn

Another thing you might want to add, Aquatium:
I had two encounters with the ninjas from PB2, and both times I found a "Portable Signal Booster" in the Data Cluster. The Cluster-reward seems to be different for different PB spawns.

Is it me or are the PB spawns the only ones that don't go away if you hyperjump?
Also I'm seeing lvl 255 agents spawn quite often then drop dead, giving me anywhere from 10-200k info

Hmm, well, I think I must agree with both statements. I tried desperately to get lost of some Ninjas - because i was too lazy to fight them just for another singal booster - but they didn't want to go away, just went back to the node then. And yea, the 255s dropping dead is probably a bug; they were meant to spawn on Dataminers in before, and now that there are new spawns, they are no longer needed, I guess because Drac couldn't get rid of them, he just provided them with a "selfdestruction" script.

Its just a bug, the agents.
Looks awesome watching peoples reactions when you go ! LOOK What I just did. Hehe one guy was so gullable.
There has to be some sorta logic to these spawns. Im getting none at best of times.

I haven't started this stuff yet but will soon. Can someone post a synopsis/overview of what we all know thus far? That would be a tremendous help.
#3630029284307/27/2007 23:54:13Re:Data Taps, Spawns and Coding - Latest Content Explained
Do we know yet what the chances are for spawns with lower taps - I've had a data siphon 2.0 and not had a single spawn so far - I've managed to get two data clusters though!!
#3630029287507/28/2007 03:25:55Re:Data Taps, Spawns and Coding - Latest Content Explained
I've found a Siphon 2.0 will usually spawn Data Sentries, security guards and other moderate-risk enemies with reasonable regularity. It may help if you find a high level area to farm in. Go to Downtown and check out Center Park, Creston and such.
#3630029287707/28/2007 03:48:24Re:Data Taps, Spawns and Coding - Latest Content Explained
Yeah- I've been all over - not sure about Centre Park but ok - I had one spawn on me shortly after posting!! But it was just a bunch of legions, whereas I really fancy seeing the Data Sentries given that they're new content.
Also has there been a story explanation for these spawns and attacks - I just read the details on my siphon and it seemed to suggest that the hostiles come OUT of the data nodes - hmm...

A haven't had any luck getting ANY spawns at all on my two characters (lvls 47 and 50). They both have:
- All Data Miner abilites levelled up completely
- Advanced Data Node Locator Goggles
- Data Extractor 3.0
....Plus I've been doing them in high-level areas on DT. What's the problem? Occasionally (about 1 in 5 times) I'll get a Data Cluster but never any spawns. Why no spaws? I'm very confused here.....

Have you been doing it solo or part of a team?. When I was doing to solo it took nearly two hours to get a spawn, however when I teamed up the spawns were more frequent.

Solo. Its a shame it takes so long for one to spawn. If I team up, how faster will that increase the spawn rate?

It's a lot better in team, there was five of us just now and we were geeting spawns every few minutes or so.
#3630043154603/26/2008 06:18:38Re:Data Taps, Spawns and Coding - Latest Content Explained
I don't think anyone's mentioned it and it's only just started to happen to me recently but I've had Corrupted spawn on me from Data Mining. Not the big Corruptors, two small ones - one green, one blue who come in one wave only, and are really easy to beat. They haven't dropped anything "special" that I've seen, but they have dropped decaying code. This has happened at least twice now and only within the last week or two, so it may be a new addition to the spawns.
Also I'd check is the "data cluster" you get from beating spawns like the one you get from tapping, only on the ground? I beat a wave of Data Sentries (least I think I did, they usually despawn 'fore I get 'em all) and there was a cluster on the ground with a wad of info and a XP tool thingy - is that usual?
EDIT: D'oh - just read the other Data Mining thread which already posted everything I asked - nice forum reading Fyre!!!
