Scheduled for tomorrow.

Looks like Zion is beefing up it's network security, or they have just realized that they have to and will have us try to figure out a way to.

Or we'll just go in and kill some Machine network areas to slow them down.

I'm not sure if this refers to a firewall in the system, or if they're putting up a gate ala Zion the first in New Zion.

Does this have anything to do with the Firewall Harrison Ford made? If so.. blame him for the idea...

(( i know bad pun intended to get a bit of a funny going ))

Well, that didn't work out.

I don't think that redpills in the matrix would be a great help to the outside world in building a "gate ala Zion" ... Or is that just me ?

Are you also unable to enter the mission areas?

I was able to enter the first phase of the mission when it spawned in a building like the one just southwest of the Sai Kung Central hardline.  You know, those six-pronged buildings where you can enter the mission area by either entering the building or hyperjumping onto a balcony and entering through the doors there.  I entered it via the balcony doors.

The problem is that, while I was able to finish the first mission phase, I couldn't enter the second.  Seems the problem affects every mission phase.  This doesn't seem to be a problem with the entire mission system since I was able to enter the mission area of a standard mission.

I think it's 'cos the missions aren't supposed to be visible yet. Maybe. I reckon they'll work after the hotfix (in 50 minutes).

I could enter the first mission area (uh, of the Machine mission) but not the second. Then on second try I couldn't even get into the first.

Erm, I'm not sure why the missions would work after the hotfix.  It's on a timer, and the missions become available now, not after a server reset.
#36300286678 07/19/2007 03:30:40 Re:[8.1.2] Zion mission feedback thread: "Firewall"
Well, I'm never around when missions come out, so I never see that. And I always wondered why they reset the servers in Thursdays if not to activate missions, despite being on a timer.

Anyway, my mission worked now, so I've got no idea what the problem was.

That's good to hear.  In any case, I do hope this is some kind of server problem, and that it's stomped with the reset.  If not, then it's a major problem.

And as I recall, there are Thursdays that go by without a server reset.
#36300286884 07/19/2007 07:33:27 Re:[8.1.2] Zion mission feedback thread: "Firewall"

Seems the mission problems were some kind of odd server thing, because I was able to do the mission without any problems after the servers went back up.  Good thing too.  I was worried there.

Zion's getting pwnt.

Ooh man I loved the ending, definitely BA.

Except since I was dead I couldn't check out their power levels, as the operator said to.

What did the hackable computer say? I forgot to have that loaded.

Mission wasn't too bad, seems like this sub-chapter maybe about the defences, and the battles with the Machines. A good twist at the ending with the machines SMILEY

A decent mission dealing with the security of Zion's networks. Interesting comments from the guards. I wasn't expecting the Agents at the end and wasn't able to escape because of lag so I missed the final dialog. But I can just read Aquatium's Zion Critical Mission Log when it comes out.

An ok mish that got across the sense of desperation Zion must be feeling as the machines close in one them. I liked the comment from one Zion operative about his son being in Zion.

The hackable just had some info about what Zion thought about security

I liked the Agent popping up at the end - he had a details panel too it just says "An Agent of the system"

Ok here the problem I got.

Started the mission - everything fine
Got the stage where you have to kill some machines, killed them, agents appeared, I died, on my way back to the loading area the game crashed (so I never finished the mission) when I log back in it won't let me do the mission again.

That happened to me too but I assumed it was the last phase of the mission and while reconstructing I must have left the mission area but crashed before reaching the loading area so I had actually completed the mission. That's why I couldn't see the mission again because I had already done it.

I'm guessing over 9,000.

I was in Mara and Headded over to the first location near Achan, When I got there there were the 3 dead bodies but no searchable anything (except a filing cabinet or 2 and a desk. So I quit the mission and re-started... or would have if it stayed around. No completion, heck I didn't even get past the first stage and now it's gone.

*pulls out hair* I was waiting all week for that.
*stomps off swearing*... gonna break my foot off in someones muttermutter...

I wonder how long this war will last - 60 days??

Tyndall says they are having big problems with the Machines messing up all their systems! THey are working on an emergency thing to buy some time but the lab stopped responding and may be under attack! There was no one inside except bodies, and a computer that had been erased :O They're going to try setting up the program by hand this time, so I'll be picking it up from Ghost and delivering it ;D

Ghost was here with some Zion guys, I didn't have much time to talk, but they told me about missing the old Zion, but are happier that they are at least safe! The other one is suspicious about where the Machines are getting all their information on ZIion stuff o.o Ghost gave me the program and said not to attract any attention while delivering it!!

Okay, lots of Zion guys here and a contact I'm supposed to give the program to. One warned me to be careful outside of New Zion because of Sentinel patrols :o Another one told me her son is still in ZIon, and it sounded like she was going to ask me to bring her on my ship if there was room, but then she stopped and said they would put him on the next barge! Another one tried to guess what the Machines were doing to get into the systems so fast but did't have an answer! I gave the program to the contact and he said they would get it up soon! There were some other computers here I looked at before I left.. one said it was a "site scan" and listed things like hostile operatives and bluepills and things, but I'm not sure what site it was scanning >.< Another computer was here that I could hack into, and after I did the operator yelled at me we could get in trouble O_O I didn't know! The computer looked like a report that said "Machine sources either quiet or claim nothing useful to report." It also suspected Cypherites are involved in the Machines getting into Zion's systems, and the Merovingian too! I'm not sure what to make of the report or why I would have gotten in trouble for reading it so *shrug* SMILEY Tyndall said some Machine programs were nearby, but they don't think they know Zion is in the area yet, and to stop them before they get too close and find out!

During the fight with the Machines, the operator kept cutting in and saying the "firewall" system was working great! But then he said the Machines found out about it just now, and then another message that said the Machines have already broken through! Just then, an Agent showed up and killed me! I was forced to reconstruct back outside SMILEY Tyndall said we did what we could, but it wasn't enough. They will work on another plan SMILEY
