After you get the coat, the little message that appears afterwards tells you that if you like rare loot (or somthing to that effect) then you can head to Mars industrial storage, and tells you how to find it. So it is directing you to one of the hideouts assuming you do the Mercury stuff first. Plus those are pretty easy missions to start off with to gain a little exp. No pesky npc's that need to follow you around and such
