Like HCFrog. Who do I have to sleep with to get HCFrog back into the picture?

Then again, I'm sure not everyone at SOE is a looker as well. Remember, I'm the one taking one for the team here. Perhaps we can find someone betterlookin' then to fill in the job? Any volunteers?

To be honest, it's true; I'm spending 'way' less time jacked in than I used to. During the heyday of this game, it was pretty much very day. You're lucky if you see Vanil once a week now, at most.i was playing like crazy before the red skies came. then i couldn't play because my eyes were pretty much bleeding and i had to go on an enforced "non play" for six weeks or whatever it was. intentionally reducing the userbase for the sake of some red lighting is pretty nuts. now im back, vaguely excited to see the new patch stuff aaaaand.....
Of course, that might be a good thing, depending on who you are.

Leave Rarebit alone!

Why?

WTS - MXO Devs. I'd rather have the current *CENSORED* combat system reverted to before the last patch and all the devs quit than pay $15 a month to see the game get worse.

If the lack on new content and number of typo fixes gets to you that much cancel your sub and stop visiting the forumsUm, no.
You could moan until the cows came home and the SOE top dogs still wouldn't inject cash into the game.

QFMFT
Qouted for HAHAHA.
And, sadly, truth.

I would vastly prefer CR1 over CR2 along with a balancing of the old Viral Deflection system. I guarantee that this alone would go a long way towards compelling me to stay, because the original combat system, in almost all respects, made more sense than this one. It had balance issues. So? Fix them. You don't have to reinvent the wheel because you have a flat tire.

At any rate, change comes about when people voice displeasure. You don't necessarily have to agree with anything we say, but that doesn't make our points any less valid, does it? We've all tried the constructive criticisim approach (hell, there's a private forum dedicated to just that-- which has developed nothing but a new crop ot stagnant ideas.), DN1 is covered in it, or was, and it doesn't seem to yield any results. So, do we play the same game of generating wonderful ideas in hopes of making this horrible game tap into some of it's amazing potential, or... try something new?
To quote 33:
there's always a 'But...' in these kind of coversations. Because conversations like this are like the conversations the cops have with a guy that's hijacked the plane while its still on the tarmac and is making demands. The cops respond with a string of plausible denials that don't sound like denials, but rather explanations why something isn't working, and as they go on it gets more and more implausible as they run out of excuses, all the while the SWAT team makes ready to storm the plane. For instance:
The plane needs to be refueled before it can taxi and take off.
The fuel truck has a flat tire, we're changing it now.
The flaps are stuck and it will take time to fix them.
The hydraulics are leaking fluid and we have to check them before we can clear you for departure.
We don't have a pilot available that's checked out on that plane, we're flying one in from Dallas.
The holding pattern is full, you'll have to wait for some planes to land before we can let you take off.
We need to de-ice the wings before you can take off.
There's a UFO hovering over runway One-Niner.
Ect ect.

Please. It could totally get worse. I mean, they could have in-game Wendy's commercials.
... wait.

If by shiny bandana, you mean the same freakin' models we have just shaded in different colors, then yeah. I guess that counts.
Still lookin'.

Now, I know you're probably gonna post with little comments denying each of those veritable chunks of content, but that will probably just enforce my point. Probably. I wouldn't know, I forgot to make a point when I ran in this thread.
- Formal Gloves - I'll give you that.
- Formal Hats - I'll give you that, despite the fact that they look very antimatrix (is that's even a word.)
- Area K Trench - This was a breath of fresh air after a long period of nothingness. I don't remember anything as awesome as that since Pandora's Box.
- Hat/Bandana combo - Oddly enough, these came out after Rarebit said there could never be a Hat/Bandana Combo.
- Luggables - They're cool. When they work.
- Typo fixes lolz zomg - Never would have happened with spellcheck.
- Archive Missions - More and more missions. Though I do like some of the awards. Though I do wish they did more than look pretty.
- Archive Awards - See previous statement.
- Stat hacks, of all things! - Stat hacks were introduced way before CR2. Except you were only allowed to have one.
- Pills to change your appearance - Meh, what about those who liked their current appearance? They're SOL.
- The Sentinel's changed once or twice in the past year.. I think... =p They update the Sentinel?
- White Hallways - Accessable before through "special" methods.
- Org Areas - I'll give you that.
- Et cetera, meaning I can't remember the rest.

... after TWO years, Zippy. One. Two. Two years... ?

No, I would rather that MORE content be implemented AND without causing a massive server melt-down. OR, fixing some of the current problems that are plaguing the current combat system/game. For instance, WHY hasn't the combat timer for NPCs been adjusted after... a year? So, content? Yes please. An PROACTIVE Q&A (Not reactive like we have) team, yes please. That'd be a dream come true.

What a twist! ...who is that guy?
Anyway, Vittyvatty, I told you I didn't have the complete list of awesome content we've gotten over two years. Mostly because it's darn hard to remember them all and "work" at the same time. XD I'm sure once I get home I can get a huge list that will knock your socks off.
However, yes, please, to the NPC bug fixes. :3

K, I await the oh-so-very-long list of "awesome content".
lé sigh.

There's a list I helped make. =)

Um, spellcheck?
Let me ask you, do you really feel that the likes of Black Formal Gloves are actual content? They're nice, don't get me wrong, but are they really something for you to do? When you ran the quest (the same quest, mind you, over and over) to get enough of X to turn them in, did the content continue? Did that quest point you into another quest chain? Did it have anything to do with the current storyline? Does it even have a decent buff to it? Or is it just neat to have some all-black gloves (finally)?
Reviewing your list of content makes me wonder what it is, exactly, you define content to be.
PS: Again, those bug fixes, yet again, were reactive, not proactive.

If you fight over reaction and proaction, then really this entire game and everything in it is reactive. The fact that there was no MxO game made the developers react and actually make one. The fact that people complained about there not being any content made them react and provide some content. Even if you deam it to be "proactive" it's still a reaction which makes everything in this game reactive. If people had not reacted, there wouldn't be a game at all.
I suppose I should have been a little more specific. I'll give you a for instance: Lets implement Corrupted! -- Oh, snap, either there are no spawns, or there are way too many spawns. Better fix this. Or, how about this one. It's Halloween, lets plague Mega City with zombies! OMGWTFBBQ, they're making half our player base crash out. Better fix this.
Do you need more examples. Proactive (Catching major glitches before release ((Maybe spending some more man power on it?))) versus reactive (releasing something THEN fixing it, as if this is STILL some Beta game.)

Okay yeah. It's got bugs and alot of things that get implimented have new bugs in them. But even official release games that don't get constantly updated have bugs and glitches in them. "All your base are belong to us." I mean, you can't seriously expect this game to be flawless. And the Devs could have just left the game in it's horribly flawed condition and not given us any fixes.
We have a dev team who actually listens to our complaints and tries to fix them. They might not get them out in a timely manner, but we still get them. After we complained our asses off at the Corrupted quest, they fixed it in about 5 days, and 2 of those days they weren't working on it because of the weekend. I don't know who didn't use spellcheck when they made missions, but we've gotten hundreds and hundreds of fixes for them. Yeah, it's reactive, but at least we're getting some reaction instead of them saying "eh, so what?" They could have easily said "we don't care" when we were complaining about the Corrupted spawns. If the conspiracy theory that our devs don't care was true, whey didn't they just say "whatever, you wanted new content, you got it" and left it at that? And yes, if people believe this game is still in beta, then so what? If you don't want to be in a beta game, then don't be. We're at least getting new content. Not to mention the daily live events we get to progress a storyline from a multimillion dollar movie and video game story that everyone here loved (at least I hope everyone liked the movies. If you hated the matrix, why are you here?)
