Tesori,

It is my pleasure to notify you that a squad of the illegal commando programs utilized by the General has been deleted by System operatives. Operatives Grod, HostileIntention, jl10899, Mathalos, Natasha768, S7acy, and Tenshi916, having provided convincing evidence of their combat prowess, attacked the commandos; operatives HostileIntention and S7acy survived to complete the elimination of the programs. Many other System operatives assisted in obtaining access to the secure Merovingian construct in which the programs were hidden.

Efficientemente,

Agent Pace
System Liaison

So little thought was put into that, couldn't you have salvaged those commandos?   They obviously were not a threat to the simulation, as you had the key.
#36300248901 05/30/2007 17:27:17 Re:[7.2.5] The usual Exile fodder, Mr. Schwartz - Syntax - 5/29/07
Yeah, I thought this was pretty worthless, I thought the commandos would come into play later on. Whatever, I helped find that access code originally, and saw it be exchanged.

Wish it coulda been a real construct, hehe.

Last I heard, the General was running out of, if not almost nearly depleted of, his Elites. I'm statring to wonder if the Machines have actually developed a affinity for testing thier operatives in situational response.

I dont trust you, and never will.

Pill.

Congratulations to the operatives. Obviously it was more efficient to eliminate those illegal programs. Either in the hands of the General or the Merovingian, Commandos aren't meant to be used for selfish reasons.

Refer to my last post. I highly doubt the machines see things as they come, they have proved that from day one. Everything is calculated and pre-determined, so to say. The only X factor are your Redpill "human" operatives. Hmm............wanna play a game of Chess? Shall we play a game?

It's becoming increasingly obvoius to me that the Control you so highly regard yourselves to possess, is in fact, slipping. Im not going to credit Zion, nor the Merovingian for this, but simply say that there is a very human, yet fatal if let go unrecognized, flaw in the source. Its called trust. And if you did not learn from Smith, then there will be more Generals, and others that will decieve and betray you. Much like human society at it's peak, you as well, are doomed to fail.

Nice work HostileIntention and S7acy for managing to bring home victory for The Machines, you did us proud and deserved your reward.

I don't see what you're getting at, Pill. We found the commandos, we killed them.  It's our daily routine, just with the addition of an annoying archivist.

A successful operation. I extend my gratitude to all those who participated.

Let me clarify....Cypherites, not Machines, found out about the commandoes. We made an exchange with the Machines to give them this data.

Also, the Mero had kidnapped the commandos. This was not an fake exercise.

To  Clarify even  more  MotorZ.  You did find out about the Commandos  you only Stole a Key from the Merov.
The machines, vogt I should say.  Found out about the Commandos after scanning the  book.    All the Cyph new is that it went to a Merov Constoct.   They had no Clue about the Commandos

just to  Clarify  a bit more.

Nicely done, boys and girls!

Pill, there will always be threats, and it's through our co-operation that we see them come to their eventual end. A threat like the General and his army, however, will not be repeated: the Machines' forces have been built programmed with control overrides after his defection, so they will do exactly as they're told.

These Commandoes, however, were of no use to us nor the Machines. They needed to be deleted. Though not, as a few people thought, at the expense of accepting information from Cypherites.

Oh, regarding that little point, I'd like to make it clear that the Machines will be dealing with the payment for the key, not Machinists.

Eh, I may have just assumed from doing the Merv crit. Although I thought that they were mentioned by our liaisons at some point, but I may be wrong.

Pleasure to be a part of this, hopefully we'll be doing more operations of this nature in the near future.

Also, congratulations to HostileIntention and S7acy for ensuring the success of the operation.

Excellent work, as usual. Special mention must be made of those who qualified for the strike team, especially with the.. sudden lack of interest in combat shown by many in the Merovingian's ranks. Congratulations to S7acy and Hostile for surviving the attack. *smiles*

So, wait, were these the commandos the merv hid in the machine mainframes?

No, cant be, that was all handled by the trainman, straight into their own systems, not some private construct accessable only by the merv archivists.

These must be seperate.

Right?

Again using the Cypherites, maybe you don't agree with your masters but you could have refused to complete the operation once they were involved. A slipery slope the machines are chosing.

To Correct you. We did know about the Commandos, hence why we gave it to Vogt. If we thought it was just a book then we would of used it in the future for our own ways.  By the way, good work Machine Ops, I like the way you handled business.

The Watchmen voted against accepting their offer in the first place - however, we still did our duty in eliminating the Commandos.  And besides, this was a rare Cypherite act that had no negative effects on Zion.

Yeah, I reckon we were lucky this time. I don't want to work with them, and if I were representing the Glitch Society that day we would have voted against it too (though I do not outright condemn the decision we made - risks were weighed and the Commando presence came out on top).

And we were hardly going to refuse the operation once we had the book. The Commandoes had to be taken out. And, I'll say this again: we do not owe the Masked any favours. The Machines will be handling payment, and if that payment involves us helping the Cypherites out on an operation in the future, I find it most likely that we'll, uh, decline.

Beachhead (Machinist of the Year award)
Natasha768 (Machinist of the Year award)
Zudrag (Machinists combat tournament winner)
Procurator (AI programming)
Starschwar (General's speach)
S7acy (Surviving the Merovingian construct)

Recursion List

GhostPimp [An Unlimit came out of invisability in front of him]
Xboxster [Killing shot on TIMCAMM]
Mitrios [Winner of a Machine Efficiency Tourniment]
Symmetric [During a collection mission from the mechs, the DOE collected the most, Symmetric collected the most outo f us, faction decision for him to get it]
Cap0ne [Sent an FM-1500 Mag for e-mailing Agent Pace with updates to situations in the simulation]
Someone I forget [Chosen to privately train with Pace and fight an Anome sim. This person landed the killing blow]

GhostPimp [Was just the shell account of a merv]
Xboster [Is around still]
Mitrios [Is around still]
Symmetric [Retired]
Cap0ne [Is Still Around]
Random person [Retired]

Two retired, three around, and one was flat out an matter of faulty scanning from Agent Gray.

Further more, the Recursion instance has seen a dramatic drop in operations being assigned to its Machine operatives, and if/when missions do come through, the FM-1500 is not being rewarded.

H'mm. That does look a bit ungroovy. Though Syntax was very quiet for Machinists too for a while until this little foray into a Merv construct.
#36300250549 06/01/2007 05:37:31 Re:[7.2.5] The usual Exile fodder, Mr. Schwartz - Syntax - 5/29/07
Figure out a way for me to transfer instances, and I'd do it in a heart beat. Vector or Syntax.

In the end though, it wouldnt matter so much for me on a personal basis, I've found myself now being ignored by the higher ups of the chain of command. Liaisons if/when their around will speak to me, but when it comes to the Gray and Pace, I might as well just not show up anymore. This is after two years of solid service and frequent inclusion on missions of sensative nature...

Guess everything changes with time.
