I don't think I understand what you mean.
Agents that spawn from the datamining, dont disappear.  EG. All of Creston NW, is covered in dead bodies. Hehe. Should they disappear?

Yup, DT is littered. xD

No, apparently it's a bug that 9mmfu tells me has been fixed for the next update.

In the new data miner spawns, is the time before the spawn disappears meant to be a part of the challenge of killing them or is it just a safeguard to keep people from leaving high level NPCs everywhere? The reason I ask is that a group of, say, 10, while large enough to take down the Tengu spawn at a pretty rapid pace, is still not enough to take down each level 60 before they disappear leaving you with nothing.

Doh...glad my question got beat by a coffee date! lol

Why would you grab coffee, can't twins use mental telepathy?

Are you implying that I can't hold my liquor? =p

Eh anyway I don't think I'd better commit to any private dates since I really have next to no idea of what my schedule's going to be like down there.

:O Did Rarebit just say yes to a date with Roukan if his schedule wasn't busy!!! :O

How long did the Data Mining project by Dracomet take to complete?

I don't know, exactly. My impression was that he spent most of his update 53 dev time on it.

I suppose it's meant to be part of the challenge, but I doubt Dracomet intended it to be prohibitively restrictive. Possibly some tweaking is in order, I dunno.

Is it wise to be returning to old LESIG stories like 991 since there are still people out there with leaked information that could potentially ruin the whole thing, or have you and LESIG 2.0 tweaked them so the stories are different?

I mean, even if the stories were changed, aren't you worried about the originators being hassled for details they may or may not know anymore?

I think I was wondering something about the big LESIG leaks back then and those people that are still in LESIG that have to cope with people knowing their positions... but I guess I wasn't thinking clearly when I phrased the question.

However, it does bring up another LESIG-related question: Mainly, the server issues. Liasions can't have their mains be on the same server, but what about side-plot LESIG characters, like Scanline or the various characters from Unlimit / Smithpill incidents? Are non-liasion LESIG 2.0 personnel allowed to venture out onto more than one server like the old LESIG, or are the restrictions written in stone?

I don't think you're on a need-to-know basis on that one.

They aren't scheduled to be in the game until update 54. So in theory we'd be mailing them out in-game some time after that.

So who is and who isn't allowed to free people from the Matrix right now in the story?

Zion was always the only ones freeing people from the matrix.

The Machines and Mervs just recruit from Zion.

I disagree, I think the entire player base is need-to-know basis about that.

Who is more "need-to-know" then the player base on when to expect Liaisons to once again become active?

How many times have you tried asking me about LESIG schedules before? And when have I ever given an answer? So let's not waste each other's time here.
#36300289930 07/23/2007 23:06:20 Re:Ask the Devs an MXO question v.6
Touche.

Did you ever formulate a time table for measuring inactivity from LESIG members? I remember some of the first issues were attributed to no such time table being created

Has there been any thought on creating an organization dedicated to Smith like E Pluribus Neo is dedicated to Neo?

Eh...not by me. I suppose if you could round up enough Smith anniversary T-shirts you might be able to get something started.

Spurring some discussion is usually at least part of the point of an event. I won't say I'm always able to predict how the discussion will go.

Do players' reactions have any influence on how you mold the story?  For example, with how the Machine organization on Recursion is split in two as far as their beliefs go?
#36300289970 07/24/2007 00:21:40 Re:Ask the Devs an MXO question v.6
Ever though of giving the players a direct effect on the world of the matrix, besides in LEs? ex. If there is a 01 war and Zion wins the sky will go cloudy for awhile, if mech wins clear adn if merv wins red. Thats just one thing I thought of Im sure there are many others.

I dunno. In CR1.0 I was playing a lowbie spy for a while, although I kind of ran into trouble being able to solo some of the tougher mission NPCs around level 12 or so, then my abs got all broke up in CR2.0 and I didn't feel like trying to put them back together. :p So eh yeah. Oh I do have a new one I think I intend to be a Duelist, but that's a ways (ie forever) off.
