Constant Freezing

I'm having a very severe problem with the game. Every five or so minutes the entire game freezes on me. Unfortunately, it's not just the game, my entire computer is frozen with it. Anyone else having this problem?
The game seems to operate normally for me. Are you still having the problem?
If you are, a little more info would be helpful trying to figure out why it's happening.
When did it start happening? Can you alt tab out or hit ctrl-alt-del to get back to the desktop? What type of video card, processor, and how much memory do you have? Is your virus protection current and operating system updates current? Have installed any new programs recently maybe around the same time it started doing this? Have you defragmented your hard drive in the last 6 months or so? Does the machine freeze only when playing mxo, or other games as well?

Problem-
Every five to twenty minutes the game animation will get very jerky for a moment, then the game will freeze all together. The sound will still be heard for around ten seconds before it, too, stops. You cannot exit the game to the desktop by any means. alt+tab, etc does not work. The only way to get out of the freeze is to turn off the computer and restart it.
System-
The computer the game is running on has one gig of ram, an athalon 64 processor, and a 512 ati video card.
Connectivity-
Connected via cable modem.
Well, first guess without a lot of info to go on would be a heat issue of some type. Perhaps the video card fan or processor fan is clogged with dust and or dying. The game is processor intensive and will generate a lot of heat and cause the system to lock.
If the fan's seem to be fine, please answer the other questions I asked and provide the info Jeffers requested.
Problem Started Happening roughly two weeks ago. No new programs have been installed, anti virus is up to date as far as I am aware. The computer just today while a room mate was playing CoH, but this has not happened before MxO.
HDs were defragged about two weeks ago.
Here's all the DXDiag info.
