Hey, perhaps they are the event-critical luggables Rarebit mentioned? As in, they ARE the cure for the Smith virus?
so these are basically the holiday helper chicks with black hair and suits?
I'm assuming those are the collectors eh? Wonder what the pro-Smith ones will look like

Yeah, just spell out the plotline for us basically... /sigh.
I barely play 5 hours a week these days, and honestly, what's there to do? Abilities are broken, most all events are uber early for some reason, and the storyline is revealed weeks in advance. Every single new feature, everything that could be remotely described as content is handed out on the forums well in advance to quell player worries that the dev team isn't being productive. That's a valid action and I don't see an easy solution, but at the same time, doesn't reading the plotline for a movie before hand sort of ruin it? I'm not trying to be negative, just throwing my thoughts out there.

Hmm..perhaps all events during the anniversary will take place near the monuments, so that the Smith Virus can be removed easily.

I can easily cancel my subscription without losing any connection with the game. I can follow all the events in the Live Events board, I can check how the new stuff looks before it's in game so I see no real reason to actually get involved in the story and content. It's too laggy during events anyway.
Only reason I'm in game is to RP and/or PVP a bit.

I sort of agree with Bay. Huge spoilers suck, and they're becoming more common, unfortunately. Although I think in this instance, or rather I'm hoping, that there'll be some crazy extra that we don't know of yet...

I for one approve of being told when an event is going to occur as i hate to miss out when i PAY to play the game, even tho I'm UK based and have to wait up till gone 1am. i cant see that this is a spoiler it just an image of what to look out for. i also like the fact that live events are posted after the event so we can catch up on what has been going on. i look forward to taking part in more and more, so can anyone divulge time, date, location?

Hm I thought we already said something along these lines...but if we didn't, or anyway as a reminder, I suppose I may as well mention that the Anniversary event will not be directly a part of the main storyline, and, as a brief ten day event, won't actually have story development in a meaningful sense. The only real story to leak was mentioning the Smith Virus in the first place. So what's happening is...the Smith Virus. That's the story. Any connections to other story events are yours to concoct as you see fit. The main storyline, with daily live events, and weekly critical mission rollouts, will continue in the midst of the Anniversary event madness.
The design of the Anniversary event itself has much more in common with the most recent Winter Holiday and Halloween events than with the previous Anniversary event; it will not involve flurries of org meeting, or a single "Live Event" battle across all servers with mass NPC spawns on a weekend. It will remain relatively static for the ten day duration, with all activities available from the beginning, giving you plenty of time to mess around with things and earn whatever chunks of the unique event loot you want.
Things we haven't revealed yet: more unique non-clothing items, specific design of eight of the ten T-shirts, exact nature of how the Smith Virus is spread....hmm and maybe one or two other things I'm forgetting.
Anyway, the main point is that any "story" here will really be what you make of it. This event is going to be player-driven in ways and degrees that haven't been seen in our game before. We're giving you some new tools to play with. I think you'll like them.
