I'd like to know the Bluepill names of some characters. I mean, the machines refere to Ghost, Niobe, Morpheus, etc just as themselves, but they don't call them with their bluepill names like they refere to us or Neo.

I think it could be a nice plus to us (the Mxo players) know the bluepill names of these characters.
I hilghy doubt the machines couldn't know their true names. So, how about revealing this simply stuff? Even just for matter of Roleplay

The Agent's always refer to people by calling them by their last names, appending it with Mr or Miss.  In game I believe they do that when you work for them, they use the name you picked in your profile as your blue pill name.  It is true you don't get many actual names, you do get (obviously) Neo's name is Thomas A. Anderson.  You also get Cypher's last name I believe it is Mr. Riggun (or something along those lines).  I'm not sure you get many others, I also know you get The Kid's name, if you watch the Animatrix, I believe its Michael something or other, its been a while since I watched the whole Animatrix.

Interesting side note, Trinity is sometimes refered to as the Red Queen (from Alice in Wonderland), that too comes from the Animatrix.

The only bluepill names we know are Neo's Cypher's and Kid's

Neo is Thomas A. Anderson
Cypher we only know as Mr.Reagan
Kid is Michael Karl Popper

It's also been speculated that Morpheus' first name may have been Daniel. This is based off the name of a bluepill dream interpritation front Morpheus uses to get messages from Zion (seen in Enter the Matrix) not to mention some of Morpheus' lines in 2 and 3 are quotes from the Book of Daniel located in the Bible.

...Daniel huh?  I could have sworn it was Cowboy Curtis...I must be mistaken though.

I'm sorry, I know this is a bit of a serious topic, but I couldn't resist the urge to point it out....

This doesn't surprise me. Remember that the name of his Hovercraft Nebchadnezzar (I don't know how to spell it in english :S) is the name of the King of Babylon and his Dream Prophet was exactly Daniel.

But what about the others?
The Agents should call them with their lastnames.

Is Trinity's Bluepill Name "Alice"?
#36300190186 03/18/2007 07:39:53 Re:Bluepill names
Even the agents don't know Morpheus' name for instance so I believe he is from an older version of the matrix. And since all the memory is wiped exept of the architect and the oracle.....

Perhaps the Agents do indeed know Morph's name, and choose not to use it... out of... some weirdo Machine emotion.

Note: Agent Smith is the only Agent who uses Bluepill names, if you notice the MK II Agents refer to Neo as 'The Anomaly'... and get pwnt.

#36300191199 03/19/2007 15:53:09 Re:Bluepill names
Johnson, Jackson, and Thompson call Neo "The Anomaly"  because by that point he's far more important than simply "Mr.  Anderson."  As far as Morpheus goes, I'm inclined to agree with  "Daniel" as his name.  For  Trinity's  name, someone might want to check the passage of the Bible which corresponds to her Motorcycle lincense plate in  the first film (in the second, it's not her bike)  (for anyone who doesn't know allready, license plates, appt. numbers, and hovercraft numbers cary a lot of meaning in  the films.)

Also, some redpills still go by their names.  For instance, I'm pretty sure Ballard (Captain  of the Caduceus) is his actual last name.

Yes, there are only those three confirmed names, Neo, Cypher (pronounced Reagan, as in the President) and the Kid.

The topic of Morpheus' name has been a great dispute. His front is the Daniels' institute of dream interpretation, which suggest that his last name is Daniels. I don't really know why he is referred to as Morpheus by Smith, it is possible that because of his "popularity" to the bluepills as Morpheus led to the Machines just refering to him as thus. Or maybe, due to his talents, he erased or altered his name in the Matrix.

It would be god's joke if Trinity's name was Alice or something related to the story, maybe Carol Lewis

You mean Lewis Carroll? A.K.A. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson?

Ah.  Nevermind.  I see where you were going, now.

I think actually, why Agen Smith calls him Morpheus is because, in that scene he is actually kind of using the name Morpheus as a title to describe his opponent.

"The Great Morpheus"

To me the inflection in Smith's voice says that he is using the title with a sense of mocked honor as in "what an honor it is to be in your prescence"  though with an obvious stab of sarcasm.  So perhaps his name is known but in that situation Agent Smith felt like using Morpheus instead of his real name.

I will also say however that I think perhaps he was able to alter/erase his name from the system, a very plausible scenario I think.

Yeah, they called him the anomaly because they were talking to each other about him. Smith refused to call him Neo, even at the end, the Oracle called him Neo through the Smith clone.

Interestingly, why would he call Morpheus by his handle while addressing him? "The great Morpheus, we meet at last..." Did he respect Morpheus? Not likely. He tortured him but still called him Morpheus while addressing him and not his bluepill name.

It was written somewhere what Morpheus' last name was.  I'm pretty sure it was in one of the Matrix comics, but it might've been in a critical mission too...

#36300268632 06/25/2007 14:57:00 Re:Bluepill names

Nope, I got both comics and they say not a word about Morpheus Bluepill Name.

In adition, Smith calls Neo like "Neo" in Mx Reloaded when he delivers his package to Corrupt (I think is Corrupt). He says "I'm looking for Neo".
This might be because if he calls him Thomas Anderson, Corrputor may say "The who?? Never heard of him.... no, I'm serious, Never heard of him at all!"

This could apply to the interrogatory room "We know you've been contacting by a man that calls himself Morpheus..."
So Neo can tell who he is talking about.

And the Daniels Dream Interpretations appears in Enter The Matrix, right? When Niobe calls from the Airport.

The Matrix Comics reveals some bluepill names of some important characters. Too bad i can't remember them...

*rips out his comics from his shelf to search for the Matrix ones*

The name of Trinity must be "Maria Magdalena".

It can't be other name. It has to be that one.
