a phrase said many times in the movies by agents

 what is only human?

do they as agents of the system believe they are greater than the potential of the human mind?

if yes, then it is clear that the human mind can overcome ANY machine program

why is this possible? the one is the result of the machine's inability to fully simulate a world that every human believes to be true

how about the reverse?

say humanity held the machines in a matrix, humans created the AI of the machines, meaning the simulation the machine ai would be in would be perfect, and without question believed by all AI

only human is a phrase said by programs that are dillusional, cause they can never be as good as human

For one thing, Agents will kick your arse in a one-on-one battle, as has been proved time and again.

For another, Agents Jones and Thompson are a little arrogant...I think it's connected to the fact that they look like they're the oldest of the trio of Agents during their respective appearances.

well the potential of the human mind is unlimited, the power and scope of a program are limited by its programming

the one is an example of what a human can become

Neo became what he became because of his unique programming, or purpose.

not true, example the first matrix, the perfect matrix the humans did not believe the system to be real, and they all rebelled, the one is the result of all the imperfections in the matrix due to the inability of the machines to perfectly program a world that every human believes to be true

neo could do what he could cause he completely rejected the simulation, other redpills still believe in the simulation, even knowing its not real

so what I am saying is if one truely rejected everything about the simulation, anyone could be the one, bluepill, red pill, ect

The first two Matrixes failed.

Only after that, the anomaly arised, and the One as an effect.

Then again, good point.

I think you need to rewatch the movies. The one is the one because the matrix is designed that way. ONE person will have a code within thier RSI that makes them diffrent from the rest of the bluepills. That code gives them the abilite to do things in the matrix no other human can do, but more inportantly, that code is a key to restart the matrix. If Neo had chosen the door on his right instead of left then his code would have been used to reboot the matrix. Instead it was delayed and it was used after the final fight with Smith.

The anomoly is called 'the one' for a reason... there is only one of them. Only one person has that potential.

As for the cocky lines that the Agents spoke "Only Human"  Its a movie, and villans say cocky things like that.

I think that in regards to the Agen'ts phrase "Only Human" they are referring to the fact that no matter how good you are at bending/breaking the rules of the matrix, as a human, you are subject to death (Even Neo died).  While they are not, you may kill the bodies they inhabit currently, but they'll just take over someone else.  In Neo's case I believe that they have a flawed sense of confidence in that they don't really see the One as being anything of particular import, because to them it isn't.  The One doesn't really do anything purposeful to the agents, however he is capable of erasing their programming, which I think is where the over confidence on their parts comes in.  They lable him as human and in doing so see him as inferior because his mind is not perfect (to steal a line from the Architect) "Perhaps a mind less bound by the parameters of perfection."  However, as shown in the films, Neo kicks their sorry arses like nobody's business.  O' Course none of us can achieve that particular level of awesome...being that we lack the 'gift'.

don't know... programs get upgraded, the older version is deleted, the agents have a sence of mortality...

the merovingian also said something else to the same effect,  when neo stopped a sword with his barehand, neo before bleeding seemed godlike, they couldn't shoot him, he beat the snot out of many of his guards, and agents by bleeding it showed that Neo was not godlike, that he did have some belief in the simulation

IMHO if Neo did not reject the simulation to the point that he did, he would not have stopped those bullets, he would have stayed dead in that hallway after the agents shot the hell out of him

the term "only human" implies that they think they are supperior because they know in every fiber of their code that everything in the matrix is just a simulation, and by using the term "only human" would imply that they are better than you cause they are fooling you with the simulation

while the agents know the matrix is not real, they are bound by the rules of their code, the humans are only bound by what their minds makes real, by giving into the simulation the agents are greater than the humans a complete rejection of the simulation would leave the agents and really all programs powerless to do anything

You make a good argument, however, 9 times out of 10 Agents totally pwn humans' faces. Because of this, it is natural for Agents to think that Humans are inferior et cetera. Agent Jones probably never gave it this much thought, or subroutation... or whatever he does.

Compared to an average human, the agents think they're better...stronger...faster.
