Section 9 ~ Merovingian (RP)

The faction name is very unusual. I'm curious as to how to came to choose that name, and if there is any significance meant in the number 9.

((No sinificance behind it, we didn't want a 'over thought' name, so the four of us decided on this, it is from the very good anime movie 'Ghost in the Shell'.  Public Security Section 9 is like the police force in that movie, the whole name was too long so we just went with Section 9.

It serves its purpose, we are a simple faction, that will try to uphold the stability of the matrix.  Not to mention a fantastic group of people you will have fun with.

Wouldnt this perhaps be associated with the NPC's in some of the hideouts?  Specifically the Section Nine Troopers and such in the Abandoned Subway Hideout of Rogers Way...

(( Our name comes from the Manga/Anime "Ghost in the Shell" and was selected because most of us who started the faction are fans of it and also because its slightly relative to the Matrix, being one of the many inspirations for the films. It also suggests a group ("section" that stays close and sticks together, but also makes us separate from other groups, mainly because of the way we aim to do things. We do not intend to become traitors to our organization, however we are strong believers in choice and freedom, not just for ourselves but for everyone.....mostly everyone at least  )

Section 9 is a new faction affiliated with the Merovingian's Organization. We were formed by a small group of friends and Ex-Abaddonites who recently left the city on the surface.

So far we are a small but friendly group that stick together and like to help our allies where we can. We are currently looking for Crews or Individuals that would like to join our group and be a part of something new and aid us in our cause...

"We need the Matrix"

The Matrix is important for everyone. Machines, Humans, Exiles, everything relies on the Matrix to exist. For this reason, we have chosen to do our part to keep the system stable.

This means dealing with glitches, anomalies, viruses and other errors that plague the Matrix. We do this in the hopes of making the Matrix safer for Bluepills, Redpills and programs alike. An....Associate of ours....an exile by the name of "Noriko" has already started this task and so Section 9 intends to follow her example and lend a hand.

Exiles...

"Seeking a new purpose for them, in order for them to remain undeleted"

We believe that exiled programs have as much right to exist as we do. Being exiles ourselves, we know how hard things can get when everybody wants to kill you. Because of this, we have made it our job to help these programs that have "lost their purpose" in the system, getting them away from danger and giving them a second chance if they should choose it.

Choice is another important belief in Section 9. We understand that everyone is entitled to their own choices. Although we also understand that some choices made will conflict with those of others, including ours. Forceful Re-insertion, the use of code bombs, mass awakenings and other things that threaten peoples ability to make their own decisions as well as effecting the stability of The Matrix, will not be tolerated by Section 9.

We hope that hostilities between us and other groups will remain minimal and that we may even offer our allegiance to some, in case of threats against our cause and those of others that we may agree with.

Question, how should the Matrix be? And how do you keep it that way?

We'll attempt to eliminate any potential threats to the Matrix, threats to blue-pills, red-pills and exiles whether they be glitches, viruses, extremists (like the cypherites) and other things.

We were having some forum problems yesterday, none of us could log on.  Everything us up and running again now though so it should be fine.
