This isn't a centrally organized thing, Yasa just started the thread out of consideration, so that everybody could give ideas and feedback. It's up to the individual to make it happen.
I've not started yet, but I probably will be soon. And we'll see where it goes.
I believe ShadowGriever of NI has an event which tires into the RPvP catagory, if he hasn't already posted his idea yet. He's still setting up the location, rule set and such so I'm sure it will be on here soon.
Machines aren't welcome, obviously. Too bad for you. (pssst.....contact Ronin at that time
)(((/ooc - this isn't the boring political discussion it appears to be on the surface. If you come, be prepared for combat, and have some inventory space available. Rules of Engagement - no pills, no boosters, no healing or buffing. No patcher daemons. Rezzers are encouraged, and the few that are set up on site are not to be engaged in combat. Further details will be given at the meeting)))
For those of you who haven't yet received word, there will be a meeting taking place tonight, 3/23, at 6pm est (3pm pst, 10pm gmt). Dark Evolution has managed to uncover some information that zion might find verrry interesting, and we're willing to share it, in the interests of loosening the choke-hold the toasters have on Megacity. So mervs, zions, jack in at that time and contact someone in Dark Evolution for the whereabouts of this little get-together, and come find out what the machines don't want you to know.

I am intrigued.
Consider me there.
So there's a meeting between Zion and the exiles which is strictly limited to these organizations. Information will be shared which may be beneficial to those who work against the machines.
However, if anyone from the machines wishes to know the details, we have but to ask Ronin. From this I can only surmise that Ronin is a part of this scheme against the machines, and shouldn't be trusted with any information which could have potentially harmful affects on the organization.
I know Ronin has several Merovingian ties and allies, but when exactly did you cross over into aiding those ties at the expense of your organization?
P.S 18:00 EST is 23:00 GMT.
Also, 2) I am right on with the times, since U.S. has done with their dsl bit, and Europe hasn't. Trust me. Europe doesn't change til this Sunday.
You definately have the wrong end of the stick, Ronin are and always will be Machine. This is an event after all and whats the point of an event if absolutely no one knows what is needed of them. To take an example of the last vector event for machines, little point in us removing the commandos and trying for Graner and not having the merv org to protect him.
Ian
ps: yep we are still on GMT so 10pm then sunday we go to BST which will restore the 5hour gap with EST
Ah....no. No to all of that, because 1) this is set up as rp/pvp and as such, is just a fun way to interact with each other and move our stories along. Ronin isn't 'dealing' with mervs, they received intel from someone else, in an rp fashion. Perhaps I goofed by not putting the /ooc in front of the 'talk to Ronin' bit, but I figured people could figure that out....this is meant for all orgs, ya know? But since a nice healthy dose of pvp is fun, there have to be reasons for it. If you don't like that this was planned between different groups to bring inter-organisational rp into play, why are you even reading this thread? Isn't that what the meetings were all about?

I took it as it read, and that happened to be the wrong way on this occasion. No harm no foul.
If you don't like that this was planned between different groups to bring inter-organisational rp into play...
At no point did I so much as imply that I opposed organizational rp. I was merely questioning the level of involvement of a faction, which has since been cleared up.
...why are you even reading this thread?
Your random hostility is most unwelcome. (It's possible that I'm also taking this the wrong way, if so then again no worries)
I am right on with the times, since U.S. has done with their dsl bit, and Europe hasn't.
Ah of course, my mistake. I had forgotten for a moment that the US went early this year.
I don't wish to get into a public debate over semantics, so if anyone is tempted to chime in with flame (this is Vector, disclaimers such as this are seemingly necessary of late) feel free to PM me, but I implore you to keep it out of this thread.

No random hostility, it was just a response to what you'd said. I'm glad it was a misunderstanding, but yeah you were taking my comment wrong again. LOL I was genuinely confused, because I thought planned rp/pvp was what this thread was about, and it seemed like you were saying the opposite. I figured that anyone who thought that way wouldn't be interested in this kind of thing at all.
It's a great idea, really is, it's just a shame that half of those that spent thier time in that hideout didn't figure the above out untill after the event was over. For anyone planning an RP/PVP event in the future, IMO letting people know exactly what they're in for whilst keeping things in tone and staying in character (Yes, I know it's harder than it looks on paper) will be key, as will keeping the numbers balanced.
Anyway, I thaught it was a decent change from the normal Mara Central PvP. In the end I just found myself Hyper-Sprinting through the floors of the hideout over and over, attacking any Toaster that I could find... And being chased through 3 floors with a stampede of Mechs on my tail. Lol.
Props to all that put in the work to make this happen.
. Still, yeah that part of it could have been handled better.Just to clarify:
There were code bits strewn all over the floor of the hideout, had nothing to do with the npc's (other than that was another way to get some). The reason the bits were needed was because when Ronin attacked me, my incriminating data on the machines was fragmented, and came down all over the place in the hideout - there were merv and mech ambushes set up inside (was supposed to be a zion one too but ah well), who were there to fight and get code bits from ( 'loot' ) if you managed to beat them. And of course there was the odd guy at the end, selling bits for information...anyway. Heh, just tired of the same old possibilities that the players wind up using for events - this at least seemed different. Maybe too different?

As for what happens after...we have Galador working on reintegrating the data he collected, hopefully it will be salvageable. We'll see what comes of it.
Apologies that i couldn't make tonights event, work ftl.yeah what he said
Thanks for the event Demoana, and like I told you before, whenever too many ppl are involved its hard to have everyone on the same page (*thinks of a way to use the system broadcast messages for player events) But when we planned for this a few weeks ago, the part that intrigued me the most was the code bit trails left around the hideout for ppl to find and collect, a novel idea indeed. Until we have luggables working, this is the next best thing to it, and just a shame that most ppl didnt realize thats where the code bits were....(except for 2 individuals who collected over 150 of them)
Its nice to see the players interact and do something different for a change....looks like the Vector RPvP movement is off to a great start and its only going to get better.
I thought that event last night was pretty nifty and Dem did a good job in getting it organised considering some people couldn't make it at the last minute. It's hard organising an event like that involving everyone and trying to keep everyone up to date on whats happening. The code bit collection was class, i havent seen anyone else think of anything like that so hats of to ya dem on that.
Was a good night overall, took all of us out of mara c and out into a hideout for some pvp and fun which was a pleasant change.
Nice event really was!!! Just a tad sad that half of us didn't know what was going on...but heh...we did organize something in the end! Kudos on the event. Next time perhaps a briefing for each org? Perhaps on Email if certain programs isn't allowed? Mastershadow? Heals? Rez?
All in all fun and new approaches to the only semi-luggable items in game

Vector: FreequencyII
Although I will be two low of a lvl to participate, I think this is a great idea for the community. I've been watching the boards over the past yr, since I left. This, I would hope. Will inspire, if not urge those who once ran on Vector to return once again.

Haven't really noticed as I'm in the process of re-leveling my char.... grr.....
Here is a quick one we did last nite
Drag me out from the gutter when this officially starts, otherwise meh.
It starts whenever someone bothers to host an event :p
I did, no one showed.when did you do it??
/sign.
Lets keep it going.
I am working on two mini-events for Vector, one of which will give out a decent info reward. The other will take a bit longer to plan out.
The first has a prelude I just posted on the NR boards and will feature an objective for all three orgs, in the form of a puzzle and PVP.
I would like to be included in this.
Thanks
Strykre01
good event tonite, Terminix, Ronin, and the other Machines there were there may have won this battle, but this is far from over.
Like Vanin said, the best is yet to come
"Ill take pleasure in guttin you, boy"
Sorry none of SC was there, Recursion olympics MA started at 1am too, so a lot of us couldn't make it.
Several SC were still present. Just not the ons you'd expect.

Yeah and they (as well as Ronin) were a highly influential factor in our victory, it was quite the fun time. Nice to see the machines with the numbers for once, also...too bad you mervs lost your operative though. That must smart.
We'll see what happens next.
