To me this is the most interesting Neighborhood Contact / Element.

As we learned in Merv crit 6.3.3 she has information on "The Predecessor" and we also learn about "The Archivist Society"

Also, I'd like to see the Chelsea Main Library accessable at some point - perhaps as a future PB mission area.  Right now you can't get in.

Lastly, the Bookwyrm boss "The Teacher" has never been found.

Devs, solve these mysteries for us!  SMILEY

And the Bartender had a deal with Deus Ex Machina? Also quite interesting SMILEY

What do you mean by "the Teacher hasn't been found"? He is an existent city boss.

Yep, found that a bit interesting myself.

Here's some links to her details and the mention of said deal:

*SPOILERS*
The following links are from the Merv 6.3.3 "Good Manners" crit if you haven't done it already.

the Teacher is up on the roof of one of the buildings between Chelsea SE hardine and Chelsea SC, I think SMILEY There's like three buildings between them, and the Teacher is on the roof of the middle one SMILEY

I've always been intrigued by Hypatia and would really REALLY like to get into the library.  That new Merv crit is very interesting, hopefully we'll see her in LET/Rarebit form soon enough.

And Teacher is location at  304 33 -833, he drops the Lamar access key.
AAAIIIEEE! Sig no workie!

OK thanks for the Teacher info.  I couldn't find him by myself and neither could Sugaree in her excellent "Sugar Shack" Neighborhood Contact profile website, and she's pretty danm thorough!

I am beginning to believe...

Now have her come to Recursion!  Along with Morpheus, the Assassin, and 10 bags of gold for me! SMILEY

Unless I'm mistaken "The Archivist Society" are the dudes who poof you into the constructs. That makes Hypatia pretty powerful if she's the one who supplies them with the book codes to give access to the constructs. This would be backed up by a Merv crit I did recently (4.2.1 ?) where the big M wanted to get a book off her, and she seemed to imply it was for construct access, so it seems she has more than just knowledge stashed away in her library.

Hypatia has always been one of my favorite exile contacts.  There's such a sense of quite, intense, bibliomania with her.  As someone else noted, I'd love to see the downtown Library opened up, and her relation to it and the Archivists explored more.  Someday!

That's a great spot to put a gang-boss, since there's four huts that enclose the doors to the roof. If you're farming for access keys or tokens, you can perch lower-levelled folks on the hut roofs out of the way of the spawn while some higher-levelled folks take out the spawn. Or for more fun, you can have people perch on each roof and fire away at the spawn; It's like fishing in a barrel that way. WGAnubis (miss you, Pops...), someone else and I did this one night, though I think we had a firearms sim set on aggressive perched on the fourth roof. That made for some crazy-quick farming!
