I dont get it...Gray said it was a drill so how did he talk The Kid into planting the bombs and fighting if it was just a drill. The Kid wouldn't do something like that, escpically since the machines are after EPN.

Those were likely Kid simulacra. Notice that Kid never spoke while he was being attacked.

Three out of eight isn't so bad. Watch for if there were real bombs, there'd be much more than a single kid guarding each.

We got five out of eight of the devices, not terrible. I believe our efforts could have been better. Had we of been quicker with the first device, we would of had time for the sixth. Overall quickening of bringing in the mechanic could have yielded the seventh, and maybe even the eighth device. Now that we know what to do, however, we will have a much greater chance of disarming all hostile devices, should this ever happen, that is.
I just hope we won't need to use the training we had during that exercise. Things would go downhill quickly following it.

Proper drill, good training. But the 3 out of 8 is a bad figure. *sigh* Code pulses, why's everyone so afraid of them? It's not as if they were Morpheus's code bombs. The pulses alone aren't dangerous, still bluepills seeing them is a dangerous thing. That "implanting vira into the bombs to kill the system" thingy, well, I don't think Kid would do that. Though there are some followers who probably would.

(( haha - awesome, that post exactly how it should have, i thought it was real but thought something was up with him not talking and no epn being briefed to defend. That moment of realisation at the end was sweet, its those things which just cant be recreated, lol.

((Many thanks to Rarebit and Vogt for this event. It was great seeing things from the other side, even if my character did not get out into the action as much as Beachhead or Smike's. I never imagined when I started playing that I would get a chance to do something like this. And I cannot think of another game world where I could enjoy the experience so much. You have made a Matrix/Agent fangirl very happy.
And dear gods, there are a lot of hilarious pictures of Zudrag fighting the Kid. I think this one is my favorite.
