There he is, floating above our heads, glowing. I wonder if he ever really slept that peacefully.

Down below that serene brow, things are getting complicated. The Machines are being "reasonable." I preferred it when they shot first.

Or did I? The war sucked, there's no question about that. So many friends killed. So many... But we knew who our enemies were. Now... Are the Machines right? Are we our own worst enemy?

Hm. I suppose that's nothing new.

I'm going to go ahead and throw out the obvious possibility: Pace has been instructed to 'pursue' Ghost in order to use him to sway the Council decision.
If she's stirling on the other hand, well that's just disturbing.  I'm tempted to make a joke about artificial insemination.  Hur hur.
Once again, an interesting event tainted by the presence of people who have no idea.

A pretty good event, I wouldn't have minded a bit more info on Neo's RSI, but you can't have everything. I 'm wondering from the discussion, and the fact that the Machines put it in the matrix, is what we see the same thing Morpheus had or is it the Neo fragments the machines assembled all put together?

I think the relationship between Ghost and Pace is interesting, and I think people are so obsessed with the idea of them maybe being lovers that they're missing the more obvious point- that they seemingly ARE becoming friends. Pace is certainly eager to impress Ghost, and Ghost definitely seems to care about her when she gets a bit worried or unsure- these are acts of friendship as much as anything else. And for Ghost and an Agent to have anything more than meetings on the negotiating table is a huge step, even in this time of (relative) peace. I think this dynamic is interesting as it may hold our organizations together when we're at risk of splitting apart.

Lastly, for anyone who was there- what was the technology that Pace offered to Zion?

I fully support what you just said.  A friendship between Ghost and Pace would truly be a symbol of this Truce the Machines have with Zion.  It would also help for each side to get to know each other a little better, and hopefully dispell many of the stereotypical views that Zionites have of the Machines and vice versa.

Although I wasn't there for the event, I think the technology mentioned was the "pacification zone".

Man....I like Ghost and all...but I might have to smack him around a bit if he keeps hitting on Pace. SMILEY

Doesn't matter who's playing who, this will end badly if Pace's programming is developing beyond its parameters the machines will delete her in the nice friendly manner they do with anything they dont immediately understand, if she isn't then Ghost is obviously being manipulalted and Zion will take the fall.... though it should be used to those by now!

Interesting in this psudo shrine we have now that all the agrression came from a few epn/zion, seems when the chips are down its the heroic wannabe's that are unable to keep the pistol in their pants :p

Keep telling yourself, that, Trace. He was mostly ignoring her. She was hitting on him.

Her programming is to be intuitive and adapt and learn based on human behavior.  She is not operating outside of her parameters.  She is an experimental liason program designed to do exactly what she is doing.

Clearly the best course of action for machine - human relations would be for Ghost to seduce Pace, sleep with her and never call her again.

((something about that whole scenario is really quite amusing.))

Grow a spine Ghost. Your not the only one who lost freinds. Maybe its time you start thinking about going back if you cant handle it man. Your obviously losing your edge.

Keep your guard up, Ghost.  I hope the Council does the same.

We can't grant the Machines access to the Zion mainframe, no matter how "reasonable" they appear to be.  The road to hell is... well, you know the rest.
