So how did they get their powers then?

Cuz they seem to already have them still..Sylar how he get that guys power? Steal his brain?

I just started watching the show because of this thread (thankfully NBC has them all on their website). Enjoying it so far.

*Edit* OK so I only found the first episode on the NBC site. Could someone tell me where I could get the second? I don't see it on youtube. Thanks

I think if they do off Peter(which I doubt they actually will, as it seems he almost has a higher purpose), it would be kind of a repeat of the end of the last season, where he gives his life to save the whole. Again, I'm not counting on that theory though. I agree, they should have an episode to showcase everything Peter has learned, whoopin' azz in the process.

Last night I got into post-Heroes discussions with my friends.  Here's my theory about the Nikki/Jessica/Tracy thing.

She has multiple personalities, we've established that.  Her abilities manifest themselves differently based on which personality is dominating.  Nikki's initial alter-ego Jessica had the superhuman strength, while Tracy has cryokenisis.

What do you guys think?

It seems to me that in their little future fight, Ando was the good guy.

5. Peter fixing Sylar's watch was a right cop-out. All that talk of the intricacy of watches, and the only problem was a bent cog.

The big scene with Sylar (or Gabriel, I should say) was really good though. It's stuff like that that keeps me watching.

well techinicly after watching it again peter never got sylars powers cause wasnt the cop? whats his name cant  rember at the moment Dreaming about the whole thing?

Ok so what the hell? They build up Adam Monroe to this almost omnipotent figure, who has lived 400+ years, endured everything, tried to end the world and then all of sudden they make him to a puss screaming for his life? Hopefully the bring him back given Angela's vision. Adam Monroe is one the most interesting characters, yea his power is kinda lame when you look at it but the charactization is what makes it awesome.

I went from hating Arthur to hating to love him in this one, pure bada$$

I really liked that african dude. Too bad he is dead. I hope Arthur doesn't take Hiro's powers. Hiro is my favourite character.

another great episode tonight finally  things are starting to pan out  looks like sylar is bad but now doesnt have to kill people to get powers? thats a intresting twist and clares full potnentail is now pretty good i like to see how this plays out after tonight

I don't think Arthur's a bad guy exactly, but I think it's possible that by an undesireable outcome of what he and others are doing the world ends up blowing up. Just like how New York was supposedly going to be blown up by Sylar it actually was about to happen because of Peter. So, because of what people with good intentions did they almost blew up New York. I think that Arthur certainly isn't in this for righteous reasons and part of it is for himself that he's not "The Bad Guy".

Also, that doesn't mean the "good guys" are necessarily good either. It's all shades of grey.

That episode was alright. Daphne all of a sudden loving Parkman (though they've built it up for a grand, like 3 episodes or something) was a 'Oh come on /rolleyes' moment for me, but other than that it does seem to be building towards an intreguing path so I'm glad the Season is starting to gather some momentum. There's just some lines and some moments still where I just can't help but cringe.

Yeah, that's always a pain to do when you've only got 15 minutes or so of cast time for those two characters. Not much time to build up a romantic interest. I like to think of it as how Kate constantly changes love interested nearly every episode.

I was ok with this episode.  10-year-old Hiro in adult Hiro's body?  Weird, but ok.  Ando helping him teleport though, that seems a little far-fetched.

Parkman deserves to have somebody love him, he's had a rough go since his wife left him after boinking his co-worker.  And Daphne is just gorgeous.  His wife left him, he has to battle and imprison his dad's in his own mind, he gets teleported to Africa... Yeah, he deserves it.

And with next week's preview revealing that the solar eclipse will take away all of their powers it makes me wonder, will everyone's powers be taken away or only those that were artificially created?  I'm willing to bet everyone's powers are gone.

Elle is growing on me.

On the trailer i saw Claire getting shot and not being able to regenarate. So i guess everyone's powers are gone.

I'm not liking this season at all. It's all over the place.

I think they have messed up Sylar. What a cool villain this guy was.

But they had to make him a Patrelli. Then they had to make him a hero. Then they had to ruin his past, him cutting heads open for power was fine with me. But then they had to say, oh wait, he doesn't actually have to cut heads open. And now he's a Pus*y. One of the coolest villains totally ruined for me.

When you look back at clips of Sylar, you see this cool, dark, shadow man willing to rip open a child’s head to get their ability.

But the thing that bugs me the most isn't Sylar. It's how ALL of this started. The reason the world is in trouble...is because Hiro was bored. Hiro was bored and opened the safe. Not only is that incredibly stupid, it's also lazy writing.

I actually liked this episode. Hiro was pretty funny. 'Holy Crap!'

ya that killing didn't make sense to me either, my girlfriend just wrote it off as he had the hunger.

Now that I think about it, it was either

A to obtain the information concerning his file about his parents

or

B they didn't have any more use for Elle

(this show bothers me on how they discard characters they didn't even explain what happened with Jessica's family but then again with Hiro as a main character any story is liable to be able to simply go back and talk about it at any time)

I doubt Sylar cut Elle open to get info about his file that Noah was talking about.  His power is to understand how things work, and he hasn't shown that his ability includes thought dissection.  He'd have to kill/make out with Parkman for that one

Yep.

The show flirts with returning to season 1's standards and then quickly throws that out the window by doing stupid things like killing Elle and changing Sylar's alliegences constantly. Nathan is much the same, one minute he's turning into a pretty genuine and sentimental person like Peter then he's back to his political instincts.
