MXO - Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate (Final Release)
Hi all!
Microsoft Windows Vista (Final Release) is here! Does someone have any news and informations about the compatibility? I know, lot of you tested MXO with RC2, my question is, how MXO runs with the final product.

Vista hasn't been released yet.
It's RTM (Release to Manufacturer) and will become available for corporate customers on November 30th. The only people that have it now are industry insiders who got it straight from MS or people that downloaded the leaked copy which I hear is floating around the net.

What kind of screenshot problems has it been giving you?

Hi dear Coer!
Absolutely not true, I am a "MSDN Universal Subscription" user, means I pay 2'000 $ per year and receive all Microsoft Products and "Windows Vista" Final Version (all Editions) is since Friday free for Download for Microsoft Developer Network Subscriber. The Version is the final product. If you place statements like that, inform you lil bit better before. We talk not about if the products are in the shops, the important point is, that it came out and people installed it yet, that means we have the end product here.
btw: Microsoft Office 2007 came out too in the same way.

Yeah, Vista went RTM about a week ago now. It'll be avaliable commercially from late January 2007.
I'm glad to hear it works on Vista RTM - I seemed to be the only one who got it working on RC1.

Well, RTM doesn't mean final. Windows XP was build 2100 or around there when it came out. The Final SP2 Build is 2600.Microsoft is locking the build number at 6000 but making many changes. Lets see. first there was the leak copy build (aka Billgates). then there was MSDN patch, then the MSDN Build. But we are still around 1 or 2 weeks away from Launch, and there is already 3 services packs planned for Vista.

Hi Warboy090!
What ever RTM means, I have installed the final version of "Windows Vista Ultimate" and not a 'rtm'. On MSDN is the final product. Thats the advantache you have as MSDN Universal Subscriber, you can download the final versions of all Microsoft products before they are in the shops.

Yes they gave you Unfinished ultimate noticed how you cant access any ultimate extras yet? thats because the only part of Windows Vista that is done is Enterprise / Business Edition.
Also, i love Aero UI, but i would have liked Vector glass better and if you dont know what it is, it was the first concert of Aero.

RTM means Release to Manufacture - that's the version that will end up in the stores and the one the public will get their hands on.

You mean in the first betas they used a better glass effect, better as this milk-glass now? I remember I saw photos of AERO where the glass effect was more transparent. I asked me last friday, where is this stupid setting for this glass. You want say, they put it out from the final release?
