Will the result of tomorrow's football game or tonight's zerg on Vector change the world? No, not in any significant way. But in the best moments, stories will be created, emotions will explode, and everyone involved will take something away with them. That's what makes games worth playing and being a part of.
w00t, you couldn't have put that any better, although I'm sure Vector emotions are a bit more on the negative side than the positive
"OMG U SPLOITING NOOB!!!!!" coming from a player thats only just reached 50 and was buffed, although I guess an unbuffed player beating a buffed player is a bit weird?? but anyways I do love the fact u compared a football game to a Vector zerg. too bad I'm english and thinking football is soccer for the first 5 minutes and wondering wth u were on about because I've been in a bar during a figh... after I fight I mean because one football team beat another, so it does change the world, in a very very minor way
just remember ladies and gents, seats + back of head = pain, and lots of it

Wow, that other side definately made me think.
I can't really sum it up apart from... thank you Walrus. Thank you for just being such a great, level headed, down to earth, kinda guy. It's odd but truthful; you're like a guidance filled father figure to my 'MxO side'.
Now with the 'mushy' stuff outta the way, w00t for hopeful winter luggable!
/afk, /details, /setbackground ... (In Austin Powers' voice) Was that so hard, baby?!
Thanks for that stuff, guys. The changeable details along with the RP item vendors and Resource's data drop is gonna revolutionize RP in this game.
And Walrus, have you heard the Buckeyes got a new wrestling coach this year? Keep your eye on that team, too.
Nice patch can't WAIT fot christmas!!!!!!!!!

And this is my opinion but things are moving way to slow for me, again ill say it, cut down on the number of crits.Well, yea... you could argue that 1.2 had 17 missions for each organization and basically told less story than any of the more recent ones (not taking the event interaction into account -- back then, big story plots following after the missions, now "smaller" ones all interwoven and inbetween).

I stick by my original view here, reducing the amount of crits per patch has always been, and always will be in my mind, a rediculous idea.
No offense to anyone mind, just i really do fail to see how that would make things any better.
People would just see it as a decline, a failing.
What MxO needs is a strong spirit, more subscribers, a few more devs and when its ready, an expansion pack.
That will take time and a lot of luck, higher up decision making and effort on the part of the community. But i really feel we can get there.
If the game keeps hammering on with these improvements and additions we'll get there.
If we get a QA server up and if the patch delivery and internal QA is improved (come on, when was the last mxo had a perfectly deployed patch, heh) we can get there.
If the community stays as creative and passionate and the dev team as close and intimate with interaction and feedback we'll get there.
To quote: "I do not believe it to be a matter of chance, it is simply a matter of time"
And i'll be here every step, bump and jump of the way.
Wow, large aquatic mammals can watch Looney Toons? "I say, boy, I say what the aich - eee - double hockey sticks is up with that?"
On a side note, I'm not sure many people remember the big rooster, Walrus. (Man, there were so many things wrong in that statement, I'm gonna just keep moving and not look back.)
I think I speak for everybody when I say "THANK YOU" for keeping us informed. I cannot imagine what it'd be like without this kind of 'news you can use' deal on a weekly basis. Hearing from you just once a month would be sad, and once per quarter would be unnacceptable.
And take the whining from some of the players as a compliment! You all have been doing your job so well for so long, that big patches and big OSOTLG's became expected! So, kudos! I think. . .
I have talked to many people who play many of the name brand online games, and most of them say this one has the best community because it is full of people who care. So, we must be doing something right.
Christmas Luggables?
Does this mean I can steal Chrismas? Be a neat little event. Have people trying to steal X-mas stuff and people trying to stop them.
And this is my opinion but things are moving way to slow for me, again ill say it, cut down on the number of crits.
Oh yes, lets leave people who can't attend live events with even less content to play with! Smashing idea!
Oh sorry that 3 or 4 part mission fills all of my time, kinda lucky judging that Pandoras box i can can complete within 5 minutes on my own.
A lot like the matrix things must balance for every negative there is a postitive, now i stated the negative of the crits being reduced but the positive is that the luggable will be pushed out faster.

It was good to hear your standpoint, regardless.

And I couldn't give a digitized monkey excrement about luggables. I don't PVP, never will, so PVP based content is a waste of time as far as I'm concerned.

Walrus,
Sorry about the coach. But i think that passion that you speak of is what made Ohio win today, for the coach. As far as the random sims... Right on!
Peace

Way to completely miss the point.
So let me spell it out for you. Why should players that don't like gameplay mechanic X suffer because others want gameplay mechanic Y to be reduced/removed to allow for more work on gameplay mechanic X?
Or to make it even more obvious: Just because Mitez doesn't like criticals, why should they be reduced to allow for different content that other players may not want/couldn't care about, to be pushed out faster? It's not as if the whole game is based on a continuing story... Oh... wait...
Why should they be reduced?
For balance thats why, you know we have live events cinematics and critcals happen every month, and for the PvPers of the game we have maybe one content upgrade per year, that there is *CENSORED* pathetic. Some of the best PvPers in the game have quit because there was no improvement to it.
I honestly do think that the combat in the game is fantastic compared to other MMOs, its what stands out compared to the rest, but now i think what was the point because the devs dont untilise it to its massive potential.
Also one more thing to remember, content doesnt always just add to combat, what about quests, i bet if Rarebit had more time he would have pushed a few of these out by now. I may not absolutly love quests but its a change instead of the normal boring update of new crit, new cinematic and some bug fixes.
Its what the game has which keeps me here, not what the games getting.
We lost a Legend.A lot like the matrix things must balance for every negative there is a postitive, now i stated the negative of the crits being reduced but the positive is that the luggable will be pushed out faster.Hey, think about it. PvP is used as a "storytelling method" in events, right? I'd consider it dead sure that the luggables will enrich combat based events in a significant way.
And I couldn't give a digitized monkey excrement about luggables. I don't PVP, never will, so PVP based content is a waste of time as far as I'm concerned.
But without players W Y and Z this game is nothing. But X, Y and Z all want different things.

Very interesting theories Zero, lets hope the devs get those thinking hats on when it comes to luggablesHey, Rarebit even used the org areas and training simulacra as believable story content... I personally exclude the possibility that the luggables won't be used in story events.
A lot like the matrix things must balance for every negative there is a postitive, now i stated the negative of the crits being reduced but the positive is that the luggable will be pushed out faster. So you don't give a crap about content that can in turn help Rarebit with his events?

I had great respect for you Chuui, but lately the players I respect the most are turning into pessimistic as****s.My brain hurts. Are you saying it doesn't matter what one person wants or the other person wants, neither of them will get it? Cuz those are some radical examples, instead of something more mild like the /face and /follow thing. Or did you mean that the Devs only seek a comprimise between the two so they can't both be overly disappointed? I just need some clarification, please.
Reading comprehension. Get some.
As Cloudwolf says, I was merely making a point. And it seems that this community has, as always, seen something they don't like, selectively read it the wrong way, and then proceeded to moan about it =D. As for respect, this is the Interent. Respect means f-all. So once again for the people who are hard of reading:
Bob, doesn't like PvP. Bob couldn't care either way about new PvP content. Bob, enjoys the continuing storyline but is unable to attend events due to the hours he plays. Bob enjoys the critical missions and would love nothing more than to have 100 new criticals a day.
Sally, loves PvP. Sally hates the critical missions. Sally doesn't give two hoots about the storyline. Sally want's the critical missions removed from the game so that PvP can be developed more.
How do Bob and Sally differ? They don't. If you can't work that one out, then well... you have problems with reading.

Sally, loves PvP. Sally hates critical missions and boycots them. Roukan kills said Sally, and enjoys middle ground.
How about, like the rest of us, give it a good thumbs up, ignore the people who make suggestions like destroy critical missions, and make suggestions that are ignored and shot down. While YOU may not want pvp content, those of us who CAN experience everything are selfish and bored, and want more.
I know for a fact I read what you said wrong, don't patronize me.
