so far it's really fun, being a zombie kicks *CENSORED*

The best time in here is when the Halloween kicks in. Can't wait to be a Zombie
Great with some new maskes!!
I have 13 bloody Ethereal masks, for Pete's sake. Yet no Francine.
After all the hype and things I`ve heard from faction members regarding last years haloween event I was really looking forward to this one....
however.....
Soon as I go near zombies the client crashes,, i log back in, because zombies are there it crashes,, doesnt even give me time to suicide to get out the way,, the client is fine anywhere in megacity that doesnt have npc zombies in the immediate area,, get near a zombie,, crash, crash crash crash,, you get my point yet?
yeah great fun this is turning out to be
Although, hats off to you devs on this whole update. Very good idea's in there.
Yes, I believe some of the Common masks are easier to find than others.
We're working on the client crash issue right now. If we find a fix, we'll hotfix as soon as possible.
spent 5 hours grinding for the assassin mask but still didnt get one, one of the guys that just came in kills an enemy and lo and behold an assassin mask
GOOD JOB DEVS, this is an awesome event! now.. back to zombie hunting.
And yea, the crashing is really hard to deal with. Maybe if it didn't break the evade shield so fast it would help us get away from them. But that does sort of defeat the point of having zombies -- if we're always running from them.
I really like Holloween in the matrix....
only one thing...the zombies.
i dont have a problem crashing.
the Spawn rate/timer its INSANE, gets very annoying.
No problem killing them all, but there are just to much to fast,
dont even have time to loot them, before the new ones spawn.
or someone else loots my stuff when it times out.
I already got most of the masks in one night
- francine, assassin, tengu mask
- and the common ones
ps. there is a little bug with the pumkins.
if you move during activation(in combat with zombies)...it bugs out and it doesnt spawn lupines.
For the rest i really like this event, gives a challange, i really onjoy it
Keep it up
it'd be cool to see some fog.
Theres always next year. Rock on ground fog!
it's to do with certain CPU's
hang in their the dev team are tryin to sort it out atm
I've been farming the ENTIRE day for a Tengu mask. I finally got one and my inventory was full. I deleted an item and went to reopen the box and it had disappeared... I'm not really enjoying the patch anymore where I have to farm endlessly and not even have a decent shot at getting a rare item. I didn't get Gargoyle last year because of similar issues.. sigh.
Almost have em all, but i cant seem to get the Succubus and gargoyle
Hmmm
but i've already gotten all masks, even the rare ones, within one night of the event

and if anyone was in camon c on recursion the night the event started, you have a reason to hate me, as i ninja looted the assasin mask from one of you ^^
i also noticed that the pumpkins are kinda buggy.
sometimes they dont spawn the lupines(or whatever)...
if im a zombie...do they spawn?
and if im fighting zombies they also dont spawn.?!
Really strange/annoying
The crashes are nothing to do with having a certain type of cpu,,,, what its down to is the low quality servers that soe run mxo on, its amazing that for one of, if not the highest priced monthly tags for any mmo out there that we are subject to lowend servers... before som1 says station pass i dont hav it only mxo coz the rest of the games quite frankly are crap imo...
There are other spawns of lanterns/zombies in other parts of megacity which I have found I do not crash there,,, only the main populated (busy) spots seem to be the crash party spots.... e.g. camon park furihata being like instant crash zones for me...
but seeing as i`ve found a couple non-crash spots I now have every mask except the assassin one, i have some 40+ of each balthail, Tm, warrior and Etheral,, a whopping 16 hours fighting zombies and still no assassin mask.
I thought events were supposed to be fun? (ooo grind grind grind, sound familiar?)

Fine! Whatever. I'll go find me a new one. Yeah, and I'll use it ten times better! Cuz I don't need the other one! Yeah...no, I fixed it, that's right, because I didn't need it! At all! T_T
*cue dramatic walk-away scene*
What would be really nice is if they done the same thing as they done in the blue sky event,, where we received a seperate critical mission at the end of the event which gained us a box of sumthin, (cant remember lol) that we could trade for one of the blue sky event items be it the blue sky/security hats/tops.....
At least then everyone will be guaranteed to be able to get that one special mask they wanted....
again crashes are not in my opinion cpu or client related i think they are very much still down to region servers not being able to handle the amount of connections required therefor causing a crash.... I crash in some places but not in others (eg. diferent region server)
>Tz_
Within a few minutes of logging in I found four different masks and after spending a couple of days on it I've collected all the commons and two out of three rares. Some dropped really often, like Balthial and Ethereal while others dropped seldom like Succubus and Nightmare - in fact I ended up scrounging a Nightmare from a friend. I've got two assassins and a Gargoyle but I've had no luck finding Tengu. This is a good thing. Could you imagine the complaining if everyone had found every mask in the first hour or two of play? Before the first day of the event was out people would have been bored with it already - "Oh I've got all the masks and I'm sick of fighting Zombies let's go do something else." Having rare masks provides a challenge to keep players interested for the length of the event.
Overall I think the team did a great job on this event although I could wish it were a little brighter so I could still see where I'm going when I run missions, but hey, it's only for a week. Thanks guys!
I must admit, I was quite surprised that the zombie animations were fixed so quickly. I really had thought these problems originated in the complexity of a totally new animation style and already wanted to start "ranting" about how we could now see how difficult melee weapons would be to implement, etc..
But it was adjusted in a hotfix a few days later. That's great.
The zombie style is actually quite exciting and believeable -- sick is the best word. Combined with the awesome character models and the zombie mood (seriously, I was like "wow, that rocks" when I saw them), we basically have extremely convincing and impressive MxO zombies here.
However, on the second look, their animations are by far not as perfect as any of the other five styles. It's exciting to see them crawling on the floor, desperately fidgeting at you with the arms and making some sort of awry, rough throws for a time, but after some time, I stopped really enjoying it and chose a MA style whenever I was a zombie.
While I've been seeing the Lupine and MA styles more than for a year and still enjoy them the same.
They need some tempering. Characters constantly merging into each other instantly arising from the floor after having crawled on it (Speed attack mostly) -- in the other Melee styles, that happens between the animations but hardly within.
Would rock if it were adjusted for the next time.
