This may be unpopular but i feel the need to say it - the unlimits eyes look great and I'm sure everyone will want one, but this active encouragement for everyone to do all the crits for all the orgs is imo very wrong and will work to undermine organisational commitment, organisational identity and more....
My reward for doing the merov crits when they are relevent is a bit of cash, my reward for doing them and a gaggle of other crits relating to aspects of the game i dont feel its appropriate for me to appreciate and that in turn undermine rp by placing ideas and consideration I simply wouldnt know, is a very neat and unique item.... very very dissapointing!
So what you're saying is, it's wrong for us to get an award for doing 45 missions, 30 of which we wouldn't normally get....on the character we're currently on, as opposed to any number of alts for any Org. Just want to clarify.
I think she's referring to the part where we find out what the other orgs where planning, Zippy. However... The archive is realeased After the chapter's done so I dunno. I agree that some things might slip out but they would have anyway. As zippy said, people have alts in other orgs.
Anything that's not supposed to be given out to the public would usually be given in private organizational meetings anyway, NOT missions. So there is absolutely nothing going on in any critical missions that the other orgs do not know, in time.
Most people have alts that do all 3 Crits when released, so it's not like they are giving away secrets to other Orgs when archived, most people know all 3 sides when the crits are first released, so I see no problem with it.
Or from another point of view, are you saying you are unable to play the game (even for a short while) OOC? And why should you wish to deny other players that very choice?
Well, it's maybe not exactly like that -- let's say, on the example of 1.3, I think there were partially different infos given out to different orgs. I guess there are details like that aswell, but yea, the missions are generally meant to be freely accessible content just like cinematics (or maybe almost just like).
As to the main point, Tytanya, you still have the option to chase through the other organizations' missions without reading.
What concerns me is that the reward is biassed encouraging an activity that undermines the overall game. By all means allow the missions to be accessed by those who wish so but lets have rewards which encourage organisational commitment and rp and not the diametric opposite.
When rewards and completion tokens were first muted it was something you would gain when the critical was relevent not somthing that would occur later and further require you to undertake opposing orgs missions. There has always been the facility for people to learn more of the story via mission recaps and through alts so I am not making any attempt to restrict that aspect of the content and the sarcastic replies to that effect are thoroughly ignorant.
At many stages during the lifetime of this game there have been cries for an increase of meaning to what it is to belong to an org, this reward flies directly in the face of that and that is my concern and I do believe there are consequences to the ability to evolve the story and the likelihood of a solid commitment in the majority of the player base.
I kind of see the point. My issue is not with RP (I'm not an RP'er... to a certain extent... Not the point), but the fact that people's motivation is the reward, not the opportunity to gain insight into the other organisation, or fill in the gaps, or what have you.
No offense, but I think it's ridiculous when people think that it's wrong to like to see the whole story. This is a game, not a real war, and we don't have to be restricted to only seeing it from one side.
