Heh, there was no need for all that though, is what I'm saying. I think it's fairly safe to say that they still have all that stuff. Ann and Arzu can correct me if I'm wrong about that. I think it's also safe to say that most of us here would be a bit PO'ed if something we were doing for the community all this time was removed, whether it was a matter of reposting it or not. I keep a detailed archive of my work, but I'd still be saying '*CENSORED*' if all of my posts in my art threads where just gone one day too.

Apparently it would have just taken way to much time to have actually gone through her post tracker and edited out her signature instead of removing her posts and the information they contained.

weird, so the problem was the sigs and not the posts? i dont recall ever seeing any dodgy sigs from her...

I am still confused as to why they removed her signatures.  There was nothing provocative about them.  Which one did they remove?

I've been away from the Matrix for a long time and now that I'm back I was interested in putting these files back on my pc, only to discover what has happened while I was gone. If anyone still has the lastest updated version please send them to me. I would love to continue taking wonderful shots with these amazing cfg files! Thanks.

I've been trying to get Ann's latest files too.  I havent got a reply yet, but i hope i do soon.  The Bazman's sure made some great stuff!

I'm a recent returner and have been reading lots of praise about the useropts.cfg files and would love to try them out on my system if at all possible.

I have been using the 400 files and they are great, but my PC can handle alot more than that.  I've been mod'n the 400 files a lil here and there, but still think theres more that can be done.  I guess whenever Ann uploads her newest files to the Bazman's newest site, http://bazmandev.com , then we'll find out.

Really?  How do u have your graffic card set up?

I mean your graffics/video card that is in your computer... How do u have it set? like the options...  Do you have it maxed out, are you overclocking it?  etc...

I can't tell you how happy we are that all our threads and postings were restored. Inkblot, thank you so much for this difficult work and time you put in it. I know it was not easy and you spent probably many hours and nights with this restore process. Also we want thank to Raijinn in this case.

I am sure me and Ann will post to this forum again and we want continue to support the "options.cfg"/"useropts.cfg" users in this thread and in the simulation self. In last time we were not very often in MegaCity, but we both have never left MXO since beta testing - we are only lil bit busy with our real life work. I do still imagine there will come a new MATRIX movie or trilogy and this fantastic simulation will receive a new "Expansion Pack" (Add-In). 

I hope I see some of you in MegaCity or at least here in the next time. Thanks again to Inkblot and all of you who wrote to the mxo team and asked for this restoration and supported us in this special case.

yeah i thought that myself but i was looking and reading last night and I saw a few people talking about possible perma bans which come with it lol.

The 400 1 runs good for me, i just put it in lol.  Could always remove it if there is a problem with it

just make sure you have a copy of your old useropts/options files to replaced them if needed.

Was wondering if anyone might be able to help me out here.  My computer seems able to handle even the 4.00x versions of these configs just fine when it comes to framerates, but it seems that as the viewable distance level increases, I start losing certain effects.

When I use the 4.00x configs, I almost never see the effects from applying buffs to myself, or the effect of a hyperjump landing.  Even the sound of it is completely absent.  When I try the 2.00x configs, it seems that I see the effects about 25% of the time.  With the 1.25x configs, the effects occur about 50% of the time.  It's totally hit or miss here and not related to any particular area in the game or any one setting in the configs that I've found.

The only thing I can think of to relate to you guys is this:  Have you ever enabled hyper-speed, only to have the trailing matrix code effect disappear after a while, even though hyper-speed is still active?  Sometimes it happens after going through a hardline.  It's very similar to that, except it happens quite frequently with these configs and no hardline is necessary.

Any ideas?  I know it's an odd one, but I'd appreciate any thoughts.

yes yes, I know MxO is barely Vista compatible but please don't take the easy way out and blame Vista.  I've never had an effect cut out on me with non-cool configs.

some of these probs i have always had.. well one for sure.. My hyper-speed "efx" does fade away after awhile.  no matter what setting, what card, which pc, or which OS i use.  dunno why... i havent been able to fix it.  The Hyper-Jump effect and sound (mostly the landing) was messed up for me for awhile,,,   i just changed my over clock speed in my system bios and it fixed it.  i was like... wow.  thats all i needed to do???  The system i was using while having the HJ effect issue was new as was/is the bios.  I just needed to turn it down a tad from max overclocking.

I KNOW, my typing is messed up, at a friends and his keyboard is halfazzd, tiny keys... sorry.

Just click on my links a few posts up on this page of the thread.  These are Ann Bazman's Opt. and user Opt. files that she last gave me.  Unless she finished new ones, these are the most up to date. 

I've always had the Hyperspeed trail disappearing, but recently I upgraded my 3d card from a GeForce 7900GT to a Radeon 3870. I kept my old useropts, didn't change my game settings at all and a lot of my effects aren't there anymore. Just like your problem, could it possibly be your rig? Mine chokes even at 1.25, so I made my own "1.1" setting. But it never seemed to be related to my useropts.

Well then it could conceivably be an ATI-specific problem then, huh.  That stinks.  I had to drop down to the 1.25 configs because they seem to display the effects most frequently while still giving me half decent draw distances.  I wish I could go higher, but I do like all those effects too.

I think I've narrowed it down to these three settings:
dl_sid_prefetchradius
dl_sidi_prefetchradius
dl_nav_prefetchradius

When I drop these three settings down, my effects appear more frequently, but things stop being drawn further out.  The fog is still way out there, but it looks as if bridges and buildings have just been sliced in half with a knife!

Hmm,,, ill have to mess with those 3 and see if i have any similarities.  Like Pylat, I also am ATi.  I have a new rig with two of the Radeon HD 3870's (oc edition, with 1gb of GDDR3, runs on DX 10.1 tech, with shader model 4.1, etc) on a new CrossfireX motherboard with two of the newer PCI.e 2 (X16) lanes, with a CrossFireX bridge, to totally complete the Quad-GPU's connection.  8GB's dual channel DDR2 (four 2gb ddr2 dual channel nvidia SLI sticks)  ....*gasp! , sorry, i 4got to breathe!*  Well anyway, its not done yet, I'm waiting on finding a couple specific parts that i want, instead of finishing it with any old part(s)...  dont wanna spend the money on something im just gonna replace soon -ya know?   Too bad this Rig i've been typing about here wont enhance MxO much, if any.  =(  sorry, kinda got excited thinking about the completed project.  It will be by far the most enhanced Rig i have ever made.  As long as Pylat has the same Radeon 3870 version that mine are, im sure he'd understand.   rofl
