Is there a way to tweak the number of topics/messages per page? That setting used to be part of the profile and it is now nowhere to be found.

Clues?

Raijinn I believe said he wanted to really get that increased as well. But a user can't set how many threads per page... yet.

How hard is it, go into the forum properties and select 50 thread/post per page. JForums has it right there, just like phpBB SMILEY

Maybe in the upcoming maintence SMILEY

it will be addressed. But from memory phpBB/JForum doesn't have user level preferences, so it will be a global thing.
