i have already /bug this but just wanted to make sure you all knew about it. i've noticed that, while not 100% of the time, using abilities like Sniper Shot while concealed bring you out of concealment before the ability has actually been used. what im guessing happens is that the game is trying to determine if the ability is right for concealment or not. but then again what do i know?

Haven't had time to fully compare live vs. test, but it seems to me that the sniper attacks take longer to take effect now?

Also, their damage seems to have been scaled down, but that may be intentional...  Just seems strange to me that the 'best' sniper shot doesn't do nearly as much damage as Three-round burst does...

i would love that. i think we all agree that that is really wot the essentials of sniping boils down to... laying in wait for long periods of time, hidden, biding yr time, lining up the shot, waiting, waiting... BOOM. MASSIVE DAMAGE.

Once again you shouldn't compare live to CR 2.0. The numbers in live are not balanced in any sense. And CR 2.0 is a completely different animal.
If you see a damage reduction in the Sniper Tree look at the minimum required level to obtained those abilities and abilities in other trees of with comparable requirements in the CR 2.0 system you should find them similar.

If sniper abilities where only available at 45+ then I would imagine they would have a higher base dps.

It indeeds looks to be tone-down. However, that's not what I would have done. A good sniper attack should be something that takes lots of time to line-up, where you hope that your victim will stay in your line of fire, and that does massive damage. So far, I see that the CU2.0 version of sniping is less accurate to what it is in live, making it more like a regular expert rifleman. What I would like is slow attacks, but extremely difficult to dodge and doing massive damage in one shot, often forcing the player to run to hide in the shadows again.

NoRepro - I was comparing it to the Rifleman abilities of the same 'tree-level', where the 'best' ability is better than the best sniper shot.

Three-round burst takes shorter to load, requires 1 state, and does more damage

Deadly shot (if that's what it's called) takes longer to load, requires you to stay concealed (effectively 2 requirements - you need to stay put, and no one can spot you) and does less damage. Plus, it is useable in a lot less situations.

The problem is that the sniper tree is available at a much earlier level then Expert rifleman tree is hence why the Dps values for the attacks are lower.
And in general any ability that requires a state to be in place to work will do more damage than another ability available at the same level but doesn't require a state.
